You might be lucky if something comes out in the middle of next year, you at least maybe recently played it, and the game is fresh in your mind, but there are those of us who have been waiting for content for more than two years and only have excuses... many of us already loved this game and ended up hating it thanks to its developer who is a big liar, keeps charging and gives nothing.

Erm, not really new.

The reason Komi's not released an update since Covid hit is because he decided to essentially remake the whole damn game at once, while also doing Chapter 1. New UI, new conversations, and all the new plot, lore, and renders that Chapter 1 brings.

It was incredibly foolish and obviously bound to fail, which it did, and so now we're here like three years later still asking for the same goddamned update.

By all appearances, he has actually been working on it, but unsurprisingly the progress is slow and the work remaining still immense, because he's rebuilding the whole fucking game for no reason

The fact that the forgotten Xenoblade got a port first is insane.

A lot of people seem really invested in that being the case, for some reason. Seems much less reasonable than him just being stupid, to me. People don't make games like this and then just drop them. The real patreon trash grabs are much cheaper and lower quality because that's all you need to get people investing.

HHG is a game that took actual work and dedication to get to where it is right now. Makes a whole lot more sense that Komi fucked up and toppled it over on himself than it does that he just decided to leave what's clearly a project he's passionate about because he's got a comfortable income from it now.
