This game’s progress is really slow. I'm hoping for a new update by the end of this year or early next year

You might be lucky if something comes out in the middle of next year, you at least maybe recently played it, and the game is fresh in your mind, but there are those of us who have been waiting for content for more than two years and only have excuses... many of us already loved this game and ended up hating it thanks to its developer who is a big liar, keeps charging and gives nothing.El progreso de este juego es realmente lento. Erm, not really new.
The reason Komi's not released an update since Covid hit is because he decided to essentially remake the whole damn game at once, while also doing Chapter 1. New UI, new conversations, and all the new plot, lore, and renders that Chapter 1 brings.
It was incredibly foolish and obviously bound to fail, which it did, and so now we're here like three years later still asking for the same goddamned update.
By all appearances, he has actually been working on it, but unsurprisingly the progress is slow and the work remaining still immense, because he's rebuilding the whole fucking game for no reason

For the halloween candy I just let the game idle in the background because when the girls are on commission jobs it uses a real-time clock and can generate candy.

IIRC you can get a few candies and gamble them, should you fail just reload the save, or at least i think i did that like 10 years ago when that patch released

The game is great. I even like the color. What I don't like and seems disturbing is the censorship in this tread. Btw did I said I even like the color? And that the game is great?

To be fair. I will say. I don't mind the idea of him rebuilding the entire game. If his vision of it changed I can understand and respect that. AND ONLY THAT. He could release small updates of the remake but instead hes just milking it. I respect his right to change his own creation. I don't respect the way he is taking ages.

As I understand it, he's decided to spaghettify the code and everything's interconnected. He could cap it off and release an update but doesn't want to as that'd take extra effort to undo later.
Which is an ameteur mistake, if true. The game shouldn't be tightly woven spaghetti, it needs to be organized and simple to take apart. The fact that he needs to put in work to cap things off is evidence the game was misprogrammed from the beginning. And while he could reprogram it to be modular apparently he's not doing that because he's only got one brain cell pinging around inside his skull like the DVD screensaver.
At this point I just hope we get SOMETHING, EVENTUALLY. I've given up hope on Komi actually outputting something worth the wait because he's clearly fucked up any chance of that happening. And on a technical level, if half the shit Komi claims is true, the code for this game must be horrid. Yan-dev levels, possibly. Maybe someone can open it up in Ren'py and see if he's right or just dumb.

YandereDev releases more consistent updates then komisari :skull:
2 months ago they said it was the final development announcement (before they release the update)

Man, this was the only Patreon I still was supporting. Would still do it but Patreon canceled my account because I havent updated my CC info and only checked the Patreon every couple of months.
I think the Dev will manage the transition to a new engine well. All in all the the game was really good, had some technical issues but was hella fun. Even without the lewd stuff, it still would be good. Really fun game and not like 75% of copy and paste game with names as such "My new life after my previous life with my daughter who drives a green Toyota Corolla". Komisari Bro I hope they didn't charged you back, Patreon is greedy. For old times sake, I want a 1$ Lootbox-Battlepass Tier on Patreon, just for me. Good luck with your game.
