People are going to do that until the day the update comes, and possibly even beyond that. Some people have just made it their entire existence in this thread to rag on the dev and the people who pay him. Just ignore it and don't bother to interact with them. It's not worth the effort.

The rules are very clear, even if the dev is in regular communication, the game is marked as abandoned after 18 months without an update. This is because of another dev (no names, no pack drill) who abused the previous rules for several years by posting here or on patreon every 6 months like clockwork to avoid his game being marked as abandoned.

Id be quite happy to see Chapter 1 of this coming out, it was a decent game, but I'm not holding my breath or Id have suffocated 2 years ago.
