I really liked the update. I am usually for as much sex as possible, but it's not necessary in this type of story. I don't give a fuck, I had fun with the story. It has some sexual tension, which is always very welcome, but not every story needs to be supported by hardcore porn. The renders are beautiful, but for me the main attraction is the story. Most scenes were perfect. Only the scene, where you are leaving the party and beat the hell out of the rapist, could have been more flashed out. We don't know what you really did to the dude. Could have just hit him a few times or you could have destroyed his face with those big fists. It's kinda vague. Maybe it was intentional, because it wasn't that important? We'll see. And the update could have been longer, of coarse. It's not because I think it's too short, it's that I want more.

I got really fucking invested. I don't know why most other VNs can't have this engaging dialogues or story. Is it because of the context? Or is it because the dialogues get to the point much faster, because the pacing is good? The writing itself is very engaging and I love how interconnected the story and characters are. Half a year ago, I finished reading The Count of Monte Cristo. This is obviously not on par with Alexandre Dumas's epic story, but I like the same things about it. All the connections, the emotions, the build up, character's motivation that has deep roots, everything put into context. It's so fun to get into. At least for me. And it's all so relatable.
I also like the MC. The MC is really a man in comparrison to a most MCs in the VNs. I can't really relate to most f them, but I can relate to him. I don't mean that I am a veteran or a bodyguard, I mean his set of values, a moral code. He is a normal man for a change. He is attracted to women, but doesn't just want to fuck them or isn't afraid of them as a lot of MCs are. I used to have fun playing as a total pervert, but it got old... or maybe I have. Here the MC can get into awkward situations or have strong emotions towards others, but doesn't overreact, cry or isn't petty. I am still waiting when his backstory kicks off, but you can't rush it. Since we know it's connected to the current story, we have to connect those in a careful pace. Hence we don't know that much about MC's personal life yet.
And the female characters aren't just fuckdolls. Most things I wrote about the MC apply to the women too, just when you switch genders. They also are relatable and you can see why they are the way they are.
One of a few other games that I got invested into is City of Broken Dreamers. It also has a very complex story, great pacing, dialogues are on point, it doesn't drag at all and characters are meaningful with a deep connection to the MC or the story, not just a bunch of fuckdolls. But both games have a very different approach to sex. In Dreamers you have a lot of it from the beginning.
You know, for me, most VNs on this site these days are: skip, skip, skip, read through an average sex scene, look at the pictures, skip, skip, skip... meh, not gonna continue playing, I'll just extract the .rpa archive... because in most of those the sexy renders are the only fun thing. Which is not always the case, mind you. Lately there has been oversaturation of really sub par rendered games. And I haven't even mentioned those using Honey Select pictures, ewwww.
Thankfully, despite the oversatiuration with sub par VNs, there are still some really fun ones and I am grateful this forum and community still exist.

I think Charlotte remains in the fashion industry just because she's a very lonely person and needs good pay. If she marries to MC， she can do whatever she dreams about when there's a man behind her and support the family. Private military service is a really hot money career( you can see how much money Blackwater company earned in Iraq ). Lots of billionaire and their families also need the service. So I wouldn't worry about the money issue.At the beginning of the game MC thought this Charlotte case was very boring and he usually didn't accept this kind of thing. It means MC used to take more dangerous mission and he is very good at this job.
I won't worry about Charlotte route, it seems going to be a very happy life in the future, the thing I'm worried is how can this turn into Emma's route? MC marries to Emma and call Charlotte mother in law?! how is that possible?
