A lot of people are suspecting Steve, your bartender friend, except realistically when you look at all the facts, he makes little sense to be the stalker unless DB is pulling some mad reverse psychology. Think of it this way, why would DB (DarkBlue the dev) purposely point out to us the stalker this early into the game? It makes no sense. Maybe if he was in the background and nothing was said about it, but DB literally wrote MC a line saying why is Steve at the mall. Pointing that out is obviously going to make people suspect him.

Revealing the stalker this early into the game when there is so much longer left to go makes no sense to me at least. There's still so much set up left to be done for the rest of the characters. I'd wager we haven't even met the stalker yet. Additionally, all of Steve's scenes with the MC have mentioned about Charlotte and how Steve would love to have Charlotte. When Emma is brought up, he shows very little interest in her. Steve has no reason to stalk Emma when he's interested in Charlotte. The stalker has much more chance being a classmate of hers.

I think Steve being at the mall will play a part in the story, but not to the scale everybody is thinking of.

Well it could be the stalker is just an early development and more is going on behind that, so the stalker line might be kind of quickly dealt with so MC can score some early bonuspoints with the girls and trust and then rest of story starts playing out with real antagonists.

I think its just an issue with how these games are released. With how Devs work, they give out little chunks over a pretty long time, where it takes 1+ years to get a full story if its even ever finished. When you get 1 chapter ever 3-4 months that gives you an hour it FEELS like nothing happens every time you play it. If the game was released all in one go, so someone didnt have to play they game over the course of a year it wouldn't be nearly as negatively received.

Fact is this is a website that hosts porn games and people are usually here for 1 reason, and when games don't provide that they get shit on.

Well what do you expect? Depending on your hardware (if a dev uses DAZ, Octane, Blender and so on, not stuff like HS and so on) and your real life updates will take a long time, its wrong to throw all devs into the same pot if you don't know details.

With how desperate she was it's either that she took a loan from the wrong kind of people or it's a generic blackmail plot.

I do not think he meant it as an attack against devs, more just a problem in general with games that are released as work in progress where the gameflow for the game as it will be when game is completed clashes a bit with the flow when you play one update every few months. It also happens with the better devs, but people like Philly are better at balancing that out in their planning even if their better equipment does not really lead to faster updates but higher quality visuals.

Extreme slow burns tend to suffer most heavily from this problem of being released as a work in progress, especially if games are abandoned too often before payoff. It is one reason I have become much more careful supporting or playing games before there is some sex with the main women.

Well at least we did not have that tag yet, if it gets added for that reason I will likely stop playing this immediately. Somehow like the women in this game too much to want them see raped by anyone. That would be a huge bonerkiller for me in a game like this, but if dev wants it, it is their choice, not mine.

Yeah I would probably do the same. Hopefully the MC can help her out before that kind of stuff happens but the vibe I get is it might have that content I really hope I'm wrong.

So, here is my theory.

She's always angry about something anyway according to her family so now she's even angrier as seen by our now mature protag. We find out about said blackmail, swoop on and save the day, angry girl is slightly less angry and that then leads to angry sex, yay we win.

This setting doesn't lend itself well to corruption, it's more romance based.

So, here is my theory.

That is the most likely scenario indeed, just hope dev does not decide he needs earlier sex, but not with Mc since romantic slow burn and gives us rapey sex with her instead of speeding up MC in that case, avoidable or not since due to talks in thread you find out anyway.

It could if the dev wants to strengthen the story and be a bit less predictable. Advantage of stronger stories is you do not have to keep the main woman as end price to keep players interested either, as you have to do when story is too predictable. Just a stalker might keep game interesting for an update or 8 without stalling like hell, but it will need more to go beyond that unless the stalker is some superior intellect like Hanibal Lector or MC extremely stupid.

Charlie has a drinking problem on top of everything else.
The pacing can use some static renders, like when driving Emma to school and the such. Jumping from a night scene to the next afternoon is strange, put some static render and some bits of info, like: MC's drives Emma to school that morning and so on.

Don’t worry, I know DB well enough and have had daily conversations with him to know the story will be strong enough without changing it up. He’s taking the game in a good direction and has listened to mine and others feedback so I have full faith in his abilities to deliver a great game.

We will see , also see my edit. He has delivered beautiful models and gave them some character so he is already up on quite a lot of devs.

Then again, I do belong to those people who hated the story part of Our Faith with the Major and corruption and considered that just fluff filling that added nothing to the game or development of the characters and just a unwanted diversement that stalled development of the real story instead of driving it forward, while many love it.
