Some say grindy, some say super grindy, while others say not grindy at all. Yes, as monk456 pointed out, the Companion Mod, once installed can make creating a more favorable situation with regards to adjusting the player's and girls' stats on the fly as well as using the Companion Guide as the reference tool it is meant to be. I am one that does not think the game is grindy at all and agree with the developer.

The "grind" is something you do yourself. It's not the game doing it or forcing it on you. Just play along and don't start "achievement hunting" until you have seen more than half of the things for a girl already. It's not necessary to do it right from the start. Most of it will just happen as you interact with the girls and play the game.​

Holiday Island has a relationship and stats system for you and your ravishing fellow island guests. The quality of your relationships is the key to your progress. Just like real life, winning over the hearts of all of these busty knockouts takes work!​

I think more information from you, porndude1977, is needed prior to answering your question. Namely, what are you looking for in a game? Something to fap to, or a game to play that requires you to figure things out, much like solving a puzzle? If you want a game that requires little effort on your part, where you travel from point A to point B, then you may want to skip Holiday Island.

I would say that Holiday Island (HI) is most definitely worth playing, but that's my opinion and is a matter of perspective; your mileage may vary.

With regard to whether or not the game is too grindy, that's also a matter of perspective, as monk456 and particularly Bantry have essentially stated. Holiday Island has a number of in-game achievements that do not involve sex and that have prerequisite achievements or are prerequisites for other achievements (some of which also do not involve sex); but, if you are looking for "action" right away, or a lot of "action" in a relatively short period of time, then resident Holiday Island Sex Guru BDMick may have just what you're looking for...

I hear ya, not defending Dev's butt....it's WIP and has not even tracked change correctly.
Since the first time i've tested this AVN-Game.
With luck and TRUCKLOADS of work in revamping Development on this title, it will be corrected.

Don't envy the work needing put into this title, appreciate the efforts placed and more so going forward.
The text-dialog, is a mess and if someone doesn't get things sorted.
As much as it is a HUGE undertaking, will be a real deal breaker with just the MC.. alone.

Max respect to anyone whom takes on the workload of said tasks.
