Version 0.3.6 - development news (updated 10. of April 2022)

Hi guys and gals,​
this post offers you a collection of news about the next version of Holiday Island (0.3.6).​
You can see the main focus for the next update in the above image. The third area of the image will be filled later on.​
​
The change log below is based on the release 0.3.5.0.​
The next main release is 0.3.6 which will be a full update for Windows, Linux and Mac. It will include new features and some bug fixes as well.​
An incremental update to 0.3.5.1 will be released soon for Windows, Linux and Mac. Also a full update for Android version 0.3.5.1 will be released soon.​
As of right now, the update from 0.3.5.0 to 0.3.6.0 has:​
197 additional renders, videos or sound files​
25 updated renders​

New features and content
  • Deliza gets new sperm congestion problem scenes for both of her nurse outfits --> still working on it
  • Aly gets a remade and very much improved workout bench press scene --> still working on it (renders are mostly done)
  • The MC chats some more with Mia, before he says goodbye and Sara takes him back to the surface --> still working on it (renders are mostly done)
  • Sara takes a blood sample from the MC --> still working on it (renders are mostly done)
  • The MC chats with Mia and gets a MRI for his ankle --> still working on it (renders are mostly done)
  • Daniela does a MRI on Mia and the MC meets Mia for the first time --> still working on it (renders are mostly done)
  • Sara picks up the MC at his room for a checkup on his ankle --> still working on it (renders are mostly done)
  • You will be able to ask Yvette to go to the sauna with you. She will get a short walk to and enter the sauna sequence. --> will be part of 0.3.6.0
Minor improvements and changes
  • Yvette gets new high res character sprites for her swimwear, including emotions --> will be part of 0.3.6.0

Bug fixes


Is the update going to break save games?:

0.3.6.0 --> Save games from 0.0.8 and later can still be used. Earlier saves are no longer supported.​

I can't get the Game to load. Was working just fine, and now this:

I'd appreciate any tips on how to get it to work again. I deleted the old game when it didn't do anything at all, now this happens when I try to load my reinstall. My other renpy games work fine.

Nope. Highcut Heaven is Yvette's default swimsuit in the game, its not that suit.

So... anybody else want to see a new busty asian lady in game? I know that we have a Yumiko, but she is a staff member and more like "support" character to me. I'm thinking of a new model/escort girl on the island that will have same level or event amount (whatever you call it) like Faye and not only that. She also should have a very big breasts... a size that will rival Faye bust (or even little bigger). I really want to see the unofficial competition between them over who has the "bigger/better" breasts on island. This will cause interesting/funny events between them. Girls will go to MC and using their "persuasion methods" will seek his support in their little competition.
Like I said, I wonder if anyone else would like to see such a girl in the game.

I thought the same BEFORE she got her new poker scene with titfuck, joined the butt and wet shirt contest, got her job at the beach bar... (I know she was there before but only gave a Coke for Eva... now much more ) I am only missing sex with her (and all the others who dont have yet... Renee, Aly... Sara... ;) )

Asian is, generally speaking, not a popular flavor.

Seen from the creator side there is a distinct lack of assets (be it textures, morphs and hair) and the quality of what exists is not terribly good (busty makes it even worse btw. even less textures that will work well)

On the consumer side, Asian is not popular, just how it is.

The result is, that unless a creator wants an Asian (for ethnic diversity) or replacement (if an existing does not work) there is usually no compelling reason to add one (outside of the very rare and random chance bombshell).

Yumiko is an example of these forces at work, while nice she is not a bombshell, ethnic side character it is then.

I happen to like Asians, made Sakura, then Akari.

Akari does decent (and makes Sakura a bit obsolete I have to admit) but she is also a 3rd gen iteration on a proven base.
And I could have made a western in 1/5 of the time.

So Asian girls needs to knock it out of the park to be viable.
In short, it's tricky.

I have NO IDEA how to unlock sex scenes with these girls! They're all maxed out ant the only options are a kiss or a hug. One said I needed to 'improve my room.' I have no idea what I'm doing. :)
