The thing is that Lessons in Love isn't really porn. It's a Visual Novel with some smut attached.

The best selling shit on DLsite is in Japanese, you and I have no idea if it's 5th grade shlock or not, we only know what the translator tells us.
Not that the Japanese are known for really breaking boundaries with storytelling.
I should point out to you that VNs top the boards here on F95. Games like Being a Dik and Dating My Daughter, which are pretty reading-intensive and have kinda mid porn - y'know, games like this, just better written.
I don't think it's very productive or ingenious to pretend like this VN is any different from all the "actual games" considering it does exactly what it's supposed to do. Akka is clearly new or his writing would be better, but he also clearly has an idea what he's about and is getting better as the VN goes on. It just needs something to fix the fact it's babby's first smutfic in the first chapter, really.

Honestly the scope is way too wide as it is. If it's not abandoned, I'd hope it pulls back to focus on just a generation or two.
