Personally, I do think story and the attempt to make a decent one 'is' important. To clear the things: under "poor writing" I understand very stupid plot with a lot of holes or cringey dialogues or lack of choice which leads to imposed scenes that I may not like, etc. I'm OK with broken English as I'm not a native speaker either.
Also, I don't expect a story on the level of George R. R. Martin I understand the limitations of the genre. But I also can reply to the people that say that the plot isn't important in AVNs at all: "Go watch porn". We all know why we play these games. They allow much more immersion in the characters than an average porn flick and much more relation to the story. And if the plot is very bad, it takes me completely out of immersion, sadly.
I'm OK with a small amount of that, especially if it is avoidable. I have my own dick, I don't need anyoneelse's I understand, some ppl are into it. I just feel it's been grossly overused in the adult industry, especially in animations where it seems that there are more futa clips now than any other kink.
Patreon has even banned accounts that have nothing to do with incest. I don't know if it's true, but I saw some users commenting that through reports, Patreon tracks and if any link between a specific account and f95 is discovered, that account is automatically deleted. And Patreon took down another game, WIAB from Ocean. He had over 500 subs there. At least he still has SG's Patreon. He also has both games launching on Steam, which seems to be the best place for developers to launch their games and get enough return to keep them going since Subscribestar, and the other platforms don't have enough traction.
Patreon considers f95 a den of the purest perversion and does not want to have its social networks linked to it, these devs probably must have mentioned f95 on these social networks or perhaps posted the f95 link (more or less what happened with Zorlum )Patreon has even banned accounts that have nothing to do with incest. We are at the point where if you're dev and you're still on Patreon you deserve to get banned... that website is utter trash...Patreon considers f95 a den of the purest perversion and does not want to have its social networks linked to it, these devs probably must have mentioned f95 on these social networks or perhaps posted the f95 link (more or less what happened with Zorlum )
I understand Patreon less and less, to be honest I don't even want to understand it since I haven't used that shit in a long time.Patreon considers f95 a den of the purest perversion and does not want to have its social networks linked to it, these devs probably must have mentioned f95 on these social networks or perhaps posted the f95 link (more or less what happened with Zorlum )
Oh no!! That's a fap worthy game with quality animationsAnd Patreon took down another game, WIAB from Ocean. He had over 500 patrons there. At least he still has SG's Patreon. Onlyfans don't allow incest either. It's neither Patreon, Steam nor Onlyfans fault that incest and other fetishes are forbidden, it's the payment processor, especially Mastercard. Subscribestar is the only platform I know that allows basic anything, like Patreon was a few years ago. The only problem is that many people don't trust Subscribestar since they don't have Paypal or Stripe, and sometimes have issues with credit cards.Oh no!! Damn losing over 500 patrons will be quite a blow on Ocean's income
Yes having it on Steam & Subscribestar makes this situation less grim. Hmm...I wonder if Onlyfans is another viable option for AV games?
I'm not the biggest fan of steam, but I do wish indie devs luck. And Patreon took down another game, WIAB from Ocean. He had over 500 subs there. At least he still has SG's Patreon. I don't really use paypal that often myself and never really had much issue with an of the games i follow on Subscribestar.Onlyfans don't allow incest either. It has nothing to do with Patreon, it's pressure from Paypal, Mastercard, and other payment processors. Patreon depends heavily on them, so refusing to comply, as Subscribestar did with Paypal, could mean their end. It's beginning to sound more like a vendetta than a business decision. Maybe the owner of patreon got banned from F95 for some reason...
Fuck them too... those payment processors are fine with international terrorism but cry like the little bitches they are if a game has incest. It has nothing to do with Patreon, it's pressure from Paypal, Mastercard, and other payment processors. ...or porn.Fuck them too... those payment processors are fine with international terrorism but cry like the little bitches they are if a game has incest.
No it's not... it's political and religious at most of the time... just look up who runs those companies.Like it or not, it's a business decision. Porn accounts for the vast majority of chargebacks on credit cards. They dislike porn unless it's being supplied by some huge entity that returns vast sums to help make up the shortfall. The likes of Patreon are minnows in shark infested waters.
I mean, they're not exactly wrong...Patreon considers f95 a den of the purest perversion
