Why do things have to be so shiny? He looks shinier than high polished black leather under a spotlight.
Removing any shine from him 100% would be better than this.
Making the reflections on all character skin more diffused and less pervasive would go a long way. Especially on the black guy.
Her skin is how skin looks. Her outfit is how your rendered skin/hair/dark surfaces look.
