DHH is great and pretty intuitive. Great for a quick graphical fix, if you can't be bothered fiddling with settings, but with enough features to tweak if you're so inclined.Care to elaborate for a non-lighting dork?
I wouldn't say passable, I can just understand spoken Japanese, the audio in other words, to a moderate degree and I'm currently learning written Japanese, both Hiragana and Katakana at this point.shutupandtakemymoney.jpg
Why not have short and simple interactive VNs that run in HS2 using just cards, associated dialogue files, and the pre-existing generic locations? Expand the pre- and post- sex conversations (either one girl monologues or two girls talk in front of silent protagonist perhaps), and to progress the story increase the characters H-levels.
So the MTL was passable? I've generally been waiting and avoiding these events, but that sounds promising.
Care to elaborate for a non-lighting dork? I’ve stuck with DHH since AIS simply because 1) I thought/assumed it was the superior option, 2) it tamed the glaring sun and allowed for quick changes in constantly changing day and night conditions. One preset for dawn/twilight, one for midday, and so on. I assume Graphicsmod has presets as well, but I picked DHH first and never went back. Then I stuck with what I knew when jumping from the island to the harem hotel.
But now that HS2 is mostly indoor, artificially lit locations with no innate lighting changes during a scene, I feel like it is time to take more control, even if simply to add more individuality and options to each location. Dim romantic lighting in the bedrooms, red light district style for the lobby, harsh fluorescents for the toilets, lightning in the rainy backyard, etc. Plus it adds some spice and variety to your usual girls seeing them in unusual lighting conditions and varying levels of, uh, slickness.
If I’m going to invest a couple hours bringing myself up to speed in the lighting department you would suggest Graphicsmod over DHH? I don’t really use studio (yet) if that makes a difference.
(...and +1 to DHH looks better than SEGI, sorry, but for this type of game I prefer the warmer palette and fewer shadows even at the expense of realism. If this was a non-porn game, then SEGI hands down.)

Ah, interesting, thank you for clearing that up. I totally agree with DHH feeling overpowered, but I'll take it for the ease of use. Now I see why both are included in the repack aside from performance options. Sounds like DHH is more than sufficient, although part of me is tempted to just get comfortable with Graphicsmod now in case I get into any Studio work down the road, and then use it for both.DHH is perfect for the main game, to overhaul a scene's look very quickly and get straight on with fapping. GraphicsMod really shines more in Studio, gives you complete control of cubemaps, almost exhaustive control over lighting and shadow.
Consider me jealous. Ok, I'll hold off on the dependent girls for now then.I wouldn't say passable, I can just understand spoken Japanese, the audio in other words, to a moderate degree and I'm currently learning written Japanese, both Hiragana and Katakana at this point.
I was just offering my layman's opinion for feedback as he posted the two options for us to compare. I said why I chose the option I did. I was not trying to any state technical facts nor say DHH was objectively better. I'll go back to my TV and you can go back to answering questions on how to use winrar. Most of your comments are BIG TV and I bought one confirmation bias. DHH is a tool. DHH is as warm and cold as you make it.
I'm not intonating your opinion is invalid or wrong. Simply what is objective.Ah, interesting, thank you for clearing that up. High love/slave/hedon, peep.hi guys, any idea how to trigger masturbating event in bath/ toilet?
After a lot of tries i fixed. Solution valid for all AMD users below Ryzen:Hello.
I can't get it to work. The game starts fine to title screen.
But when i click start i get blank screen and the game just closes. No message nothing.
Also when i go to create character (boy or girl) i see the girl fo 5-6 seconds and the game closes, no message, no error, nothing.
I updated mods from Initsetting and still happens the same. It is a fresh, first time install.
I added output_log.txt if anybody can see whats wrong.
Please help.
All the shots are looking really great. Having just gotten the hang of using the DHH mod, I'll prolly stick with it for awhile. I'm still able to get nice visuals with DHH by adjusting the sliders. I will have to move on to the Graphics mod at some point since I hear that one works alot better with in-game lightsalex2011, dyingbreed86, MrWrongtubes, Bentshaft
Thanks for the feedback.
The scene is Tiny House 6... something can't read the full name, since it's blocked out.
I know, the render used is like one extreme to the next. Too much light and lack of proper shadows (DHH) or too much shadows causing the scene to be too dark, due to lack of light. I limited SEGI to just scene lights, so the examples are at default comparisons.
Now what if proper lights were used instead?
Well... you get this.

SEGI, or Screen Enhance Global Illumination, (I'm actually making up what the E stands for) --is a voxel-based GI Render. According to the source, it "provides indirect lighting and glossy reflections from a single directional light, the sky, and any emissive materials in the scene. In the future, SEGI will support indirect lighting from point and spot lights. SEGI calculates indirect light visibility for soft indirect shadows, and also calculates soft sky light shadows. It can render either a single bounce or infinite bounces of indirect light." --You must be registered to see the links
In short, it's Real-time Dynamic Light Bounce Rendering, also known as an alternative to Raytracing, with some limitations. While it's a poor-man's version, it still able to provide amazing results.
SEGI render mode is actually from within the Graphics Mod setting. It's the experimental option. You don't need a Geforce RTX card to take advantage of this, too. Now that you know what it is, I hope you all make use of it, so you can better show off your characters and scene creations in even higher quality than you knew possible.
p.s. Queen Boo is my mascot.
P is shortcut for DHH mod, but you have to tick it on InitSetting first. The DHH discussion has me interested... I never realized this was a thing despite using BR across 3 games. How do you access it in studio?
Thanks! I also just found out about an animation controller that was apparently hidden in StudioNEO under the minus key shortcut while I was looking myself, so I'm really learning a lot about studio today, I guess...P is shortcut for DHH mod, but you have to tick it on InitSetting first.
Haha, looking forward to seeing your studio stuff on here~Thanks! I also just found out about an animation controller that was apparently hidden in StudioNEO under the minus key shortcut while I was looking myself, so I'm really learning a lot about studio today, I guess...
