Do we have a separate thread on the topic?Better Repack for Summer Vacation is out
Yes, for a while now seeing that it's already at 90 pages or so. Last few pages should have the links if you need to dl the Repack. Overall it's pretty fun, character creation is more or less identical to HC, but there's an actual game this time around.Do we have a separate thread on the topic?
It's under Discussion, not Adult Games. That's why nobody can find it. I think now that there is a proper release someone should make a Game Games thread for prosperity.Yes, for a while now seeing that it's already at 90 pages or so. i'm trying this one
is this good game ?
actually i come from that thread,Seems decent so far but Summer Vacation! Scramble seems to be an AA-comparable version of this, if you're interested in that sort of thing. HC cards also can be used with it.
it did packed with uncen i think the BRHi, does anyone have or know an uncensor for Honey Come to share?
It is not "may be". Illgames is actually Illusion, they simply renamed the company. That may or may not be true.
You must be registered to see the links
Nope, legally they are not the same, even though you're right, technically it was just a rename. But in the eyes of courts, Illusion ended without a legal successor, and Illgames owns none of their IPs whatsoever. (Meaning KK, KKS, HS, HS2, RG etc. are now free to use, there's no legal entity to sue you, Illusion is no more and Illgames has no copyright save HC).Illgames is actually Illusion, they simply renamed the company.
Their IPs are not public. According to the Japanese laws, the ownership belongs to the creator of the product. You still can get sued for copyright violation. Moreover, we don't know the current legal status of Illusion because there are no public registries.Nope, legally they are not the same, even though you're right, technically it was just a rename. The difference between renaming and ending+starting anew company is slim, but legally very very important (inheriting IPs and copyrights or not).
That's not just Japanese laws, that's the law worldwide, but...Their IPs are not public. According to the Japanese laws, the ownership belongs to the creator of the product.
...by whom? You still can get sued for copyright violation.
Not entirely true. We do know that people that worked for Illusion are now working at IllGames, and we also do know that IllGames made an official statement that they are legally not affiliated with Illusion in any way. Moreover, we don't know the current legal status of Illusion because there are no public registries.
They must of not really cared that much about pursuing legal action, because look at the amount of people using Koikatsu and Honey Select 2 to make visual novels and selling them on Patreon, etc. That's not just Japanese laws, that's the law worldwide, but...
...by whom?
Not entirely true. We do know that people that worked for Illusion are now working at IllGames, and we also do know that IllGames made an official statement that they are legally not affiliated with Illusion in any way.
So while in theory they could sue, in practice there's no legal entity to do that. Not that they cared too much about Koikatsu modders while they still had the chance, tbh. so it is unlikely that they will make some kind of legal comeback just to force copyright claims on court. Not entirely impossible, but highly unlikely.
On the other hand, Honeycome (and Summer Vacation! Scramble) is a different matter, because IllGames owns those copyrights and they are a very much a valid and kicking legal entity that can go to court anytime.
By the game producer or some other Illusion staff member that can hold the rights as a creator of the product....by whom?
We don't know ILLUSION's status as a legal entity, no data desclosed. As for who can start a legal process, refer to the first answer. Not entirely true. If you (as legal company) try to release Illusion's game (keeping everything but Illusion mentions for example) as your own product, they might actNot that they cared too much about Koikatsu modders while they still had the chance, tbh. so it is unlikely that they will make some kind of legal comeback just to force copyright claims on court. Nope. Intellectual property created by Illusion belongs only to Illusion and nobody else (not even its staff).By the game producer or some other Illusion staff member that can hold the rights as a creator of the product.
Again, not true, lots of official statements were disclosed (can't link their old twitter as it went down since). See links:We don't know ILLUSION's status as a legal entity, no data desclosed.
Why would anyone do that? We were talking about modding and ripping assets and using those in third party games. Illusion (while it was still operating) could have, but never sued anybody for that.If you (as legal company) try to release Illusion's game
