This last update introduces clones, so there's definitely bullshit that can be done to ressurect her spefically since they appear to keep the memories of the original if Kruger is anything to go by. I don't think a flashback (or an extensive flashback at least) is required unless there's a sex scene intended to be contained within it.
That leaves the father/daughter cloaking team, the group the dark girl is working for, the savages, and replacing Mongol, two of which are related and affected by Mongol's death and his choice of heir.
Extensive flashbacks would be required since if she is kept in the game many questions from the past would need to be answered such as: How did she die? Effects of her death on MC and how it changed him? What sort of person was the MC before her dead? The old dev also already established that she was a love interest so the relationship between her and the MC would need to be addressed. How did she become a ghost? Plus, the whole thing about ghosts and their ability to materialize and walk through walls are a big 'game changer' too so that would have to be addressed, such as: are there other ghosts, what role her abilities would play in the game? Those seem to be pretty OP abilities.
That whole side story is big enough to be a game in itself. Might be better to make it into a spinoff later if the game does well. Of course it's dev's choice. One solution I think is to make her just a ghost and not a ghost of the sister. I think that would remove the need to address the past relationship between her and the MC, but it would still leave a problem of her OP powers and how they will play into a game.
All of this are just my thoughts, the dev might have some clever way of dealing with all that, if so all I wrote is irrelevant.

It leaves a lot more than what you wrote. In addition to all you wrote there is also saving the sister of Ava (the dark girl you mention), there are also all the relationships with all the women in your harem which so far come to 5, plus Ava, and the barbarian you saved... also the other bosses which would want to take advantage of Mongol's death (according to the story itself).
That's at least 11 subplots just off the top that you and I recall, and I think we missed a few. Not to mention some of those subplots will expand into a few more subplots on their own... and that's all by 1 or 2 devs... and with all that you think it's a good idea to have a substory with the 'sister ghost' too?
Rather that listing the changes you think the new developer should implement, let's give him time to show us his vision for the game. Unless, of course, you'd like to pick development to your vision.
2-3 days ago this VN was a dead cat bouncing. Now it has the potential for new life. Maybe we should let the new dev find his feet. Just sayin...
Maybe read before you reply... I didn't list changes, I suggested ONE change and listed 3 reasons why I think it would be for the best. What the dev ultimately does it fully up to him, it's not like what is written on this forum is something the dev must do. This is all just food for thought and a topic for discussion.
The ghost sister is one of the things that makes this stand apart and saves it from just becoming another harem clone.
We need more vns like this, tales from the unending void, desertstalker, and scars of fate. There are literally hundreds of puritan harem clones to play. I truly hope the new creator doesn't make them kind of changes and makes this Just another one...
You are looking at it from the perspective of a player, but now think about making it and resolving it given the staggering number of subplots and substories already in the game. Games with so much (too much) rarely see the end since all that simply overwhelms the dev or a small team. The ghost sister story is big enough to be a mid-sized game in itself. Of course it's ultimately up to the dev what he chooses to do. Whatever it is I just hope he thinks it over so he doesn't regret his choice down the line when it will be too late to change it.
