Yea which is why I said they can just let out a short game update or even a patreon update to just get that abandoned tag removed.

Patreon updates don't get the tag removed. Once the game is tagged as abandoned, only a new version gets it removed. So the dev has to at least release something concrete. Also, don't underestimate the influence of this site. Pirate hub as it may be, most games wouldn't have half the exposure they do if it wasn't for it.

So yea, a short game update.
I haven't played the latest update so I can't speak for it fully, but I heard the latest update for Deviant Anomalies was barebones.
I haven't read F95's guideline for game tagging but I'm assuming a few added dialogue scenes, or one lewd scene, or even a "bugfix" optimization update would be enough to remove it.
For HS/Koikatsu devs yea that's true, since other devs have Steam and ItchIO as well

I still remember back then when mirgosoft trying to roast certain academy developer, for their super slow update even though work in team, often to delay update game, milking the patron, etc. Unfortunately that certain academy game have better game update now than mircro- i mean mirgosoft. Oh how mighty have fallen karma sure hits in the nail isnt it?

I am afraid: Out, over and tilt. I just wonder why someone starts constructing a game and stops just after one or two updates. A lot of efforts ... all for nothing. So much talent, thrown away. What a pity!

The Dev took the opportunity to get inspired by another popular academy game here, but failed to realize that you have to put work in to actually get the numbers the other game generates. Just trying a school setting with hot girls and writing DMs to people who are active in the other thread to lure them over does not work.
The Dev just thought it would be easy money, but when not that many people were interested in the game, they did not bother anymore.

Obviously it is that way. So what is left? Everyone has lost: The clients, the game lovers, the artists behind it. And by the way: Is it that difficult for any developer to inform the fans of a game, that nothing else is to come? So no one has to wait in vain ??
