Nanocrisis, Hounds of the Blade, Hounds of the Meteor... I do played this project from the beginning, sadly but it seems I'll end this path now.
Personally for me, the larger this game become, the more unneeded shit added but the core is still same old shit without much of improvement. So idea is cool as it is but fuckin' years passed... C'mon... this project started when I had long hair and "everstanding dick", and now I'm an bold old man with "shit happens"
As before, JP people just live in their own world, it seems sometimes very hard to understand their logics and lifestyle, and ofc fetishes and tastes.

(And oh... god I hate that pink/blue/green... hair shit, and I hate more that western devs nowadays also copy that shitty tradition of JP dev's... guys, that shit was needed in old anime cause faces were totally same... just to differ characters x_x)
Don't let the door slap you on the way out.

Getting back to your point about the 'vacuous dialog' - The files are all there and unencrypted in the game archive, so if some brave soul were interested and took the time, its entirely feasible to mod the dialog to whatever their liking may be. The translations are done by f9account but AFAIK, he's not deviating from inui's dialog. There are some obvious limitations, some text files probably get re-used so contextually things may not make sense.. but it could definitely be made more palatable for a western audience.
This is correct.

I've translated directly from Inui, and then, coordinating with him, localized much of the dialogue to give it more energy and taste for a Western audience. And even so, it's difficult due to the nature of the coding.

Much of the dialogue is repeated in the code, especially her reactions to sex. So they need to be fairly generic to be coherent as they have to encompass all different types of monsters and humanoids.

For example, Japanese doesn't use pronouns the same way as Latin-based languages do. Instead of he/she/they, Japanese often doesn't have a pronoun AT ALL, leaving it up to context. So there can be a line that looks like this:

Rena: [unsaid pronoun] is going to attack me!

So, how do we translate that to flow in English to match ALL potential attackers?

Rena: I'm being attacked!
-This sounds awkward.

Rena: He's attacking me!
-But what if it's a monster?

Rena: It's attacking me!
-But what if it's a group of monsters or humanoids?

Rena: They're attacking me!
-This is the least-worst option so far.

So yes, some of Rena's lines sound unnatural, but it's because they need to be as generic as possible so as to fit all scenarios.

I am open to suggestions on any improvements, however.

So if anyone, including textbook7 and Beats9821 have suggestions, I am open to listen.

Feel free to post direct examples or screenshots of places you think can be improved.

soooo... is this game really that good?
Its pretty ok. Battle depth (I mean mechanically, like combos and dodges) and story isn't going to be as deep as something like Warrior Maiden Lecia, but the battlefuck and game-over scenes are done better imo (as long as the fetishes are in your strike zone). Although I'll have to be honest, if you're not here for the fap, it IS somewhat average at best.

Let's be honest here, translating a language into another is no easy task and it will sound akward no matter what you do. When you speak the two languages, you will recognizes this. To me, f9account did a good job so far and the dialogue is not as bad as some people try to put it. I saw FAR worse from professional tranlators for anime, manga and video games, especially Nintendo Treehouse or Crunchyroll to name some of them.

feel free to go with "I'm under attack" or "I need to defend myself" for the most generic variant or go with less direct translation that implies the attack but doesn't directly reference it, sometimes all that is needed is CJ's "Aww shit, here we go again"
While I'd argue its not the best solution, it fixes the "Repeated in code for multiple encounters" and is generic enough not to imply that you'd be fighting a dog, a man, or a spaghetti monster, yet fits the situation somewhat.

Sure, but that's just one example.

So how about full on sex?

Say there's these 3 sex lines that have to be used in ALL encounters.

Rena: [Pronoun] is trying to go inside me!

Rena: [Pronoun] is penetrating me!

Rena: [Pronoun] is raping me!

As you saw above, direct translations don't always work. I can't use he or it, so it's often they, which is repetitive.

Rena: They're trying to go inside me!

Rena: They're penetrating me!

Rena: They're raping me!

With Japanese, it's slightly less repetitive because the implied pronouns come from the context. English has somewhat similar options, but they're not quite as smooth.

So, one option I use is broken sentences--which is something Inui uses in his dialogue often.

Rena: Ugh... trying...to get inside me!

Rena: Dont! Don't... go in!!!

Rena: N-no... r-raping me...

So I'm not just translating, I'm localizing as well to make it SEEM like reasonable dialogue that could be spoken.

it works on all those pronoun versions to some degrees

1: I'm going to get entered (wow that sounds bad, here I'd go with the broken one )
2: it's going in! (as in penis, bug or whateverthefuck is getting inside rena this time)
3: I'm being (or about to get) raped. (we've noticed rena, that's why we're here.)

Edit: also feel free to ignore my advices, english is my second language, and the first one can imply pronoun by the state of the verb, so while it may sound good to me, it might not be so great to a native speaker

Yeah, no one would say "I'm being raped." as it's happening.

Can anyone tell me if these are all the available areas? Yenty lake was the last unlock.

Damn this has been a shitshow tho. The whole time I was out of energy because I messed with my suit settings and the UI isn't clear at all that you can screw it up. I forgot since I last played.

Here is my save as a thank you, rename it if you already have a "1" save to some other number.

Yes.
To be clear, there are 8 levels currently defined in the game: RockeTunnel, SangRockyHills, RottenForest, YentyLake, RaoFamilyFarm, FormicHills, AvinAbandonedFactory, and Sewage.

I messed with my suit settings and the UI isn't clear at all that you can screw it up.
I agree, this is something the game doesn't really explain. So here's my explanation:
On the 'Suit Expansion' screen, you can adjust your stats with CustomPoints, but you can spend more more points than you actually have.
If your remaining 'CustomPoint' is positive, then your passive energy drain will be slower, but if it's negative, your passive energy drain will be faster. So you can pump up your stats for a boss fight, at the cost of a self-imposed time limit. Or choose to reduce your stats so you burn less energy while exploring.
'Suit Level' buffs all three of your stats - STR, VIT, and DEX.
STR Assist and VIT Assist give double the bonus of Suit Level, but only in that one stat.
Suit Mode biases the bonus you get from Suit Level towards the selected stat.
STR increases all damage you do, and also makes it easier to struggle out of grapples.
VIT reduces all the damage you take (both HP and durability) and also improves your stamina regen (the cooldown between dashes)
DEX increases your action speed, so you run and attack faster. It also makes the minigame fights easier.

oh i didn't intend to suggest you weren't doing a good job at making things clear. i simply wish there was more content for you to be translating in the first place. more descriptions, more writing, more everything. the actual TRANSLATIONS are great, and your efforts are appreciated by many
