Wait you say there are mods for HotB or just said to make it clear. Am I missing something?
Sorry Im a big fan of the game actually I like a bit better the protagonist in that one.

why would you need a guide? it's still pretty much the same game. it's kind of hard to describe what's different without seeing everything in both games, but here is what changes in the original version that i'm 100% certain of (because it's what i saw in sgt_bilko's version that made me want to find the original version):
1. menus in the city, lailaps are fully translated into english (they're still in japanese in other version)
2. more levels (only checked like two) are fully translated into english (they're still in japanese in other version)
3. the voiceovers during grab scenes are much simpler and less "extreme" (they're way more intense in other version)
i can't say if that's it or if there are a hundred more, but i'm too busy to find out anytime soon. i mostly just wanted everything translated because i'm an idiot and the type of person owns an industrial label maker so that i can print individual labels for the different types of screws for my motorcycle. i need to have the game fully translated, even if i don't plan to play it, or i will literally die
sgt_bilko's version isn't the original version. my guess is that at some point, somebody somewhere mixed up their modded, partially translated version with the unmodded, fully translated original version; over the years, that version proliferated and became the "main version" everybody passed around on the internet, at least in the west. so the version i posted is the original version i downloaded directly from the official .jp website, plus the three combined english translations i found on ULMF.Wait you say there are mods for HotB or just said to make it clear. sgt_bilko still deserves a god damned medal for single-handedly maintaining one of the only installation files easily obtainable by people who live in the west. i just found it funny that literally zero western players have downloaded the game from the official site in so long that nobody noticed our version was different. which makes sense, because we always pass games amongst ourselves since none of us casually wanders around on .jp sites when you can just find it on english forums like these
Well, sometimes you enter the same ship location, and there are different enemies. You enter the area, where the sword trainer is, and there's an encounter. Apparently there are different fights in the city, not just ship locations. And i'm not sure what i'm missing, or how to access them...
If you don't have a guide, it's fine, was just curious.....

Okay, I downloaded everything AGAIN and tried without adding this Save file!
It´s working!
Whatever you did with that Save File is f*cking up the Game!
suppose to take the save file and copy it over after unzipping the game. overwrriting seems to fuck with peoples save files braking the game. but if you copy and past the save into a new unzip folder. seems to work. that what i do everytime
No, extract the game first. Then extract the save to somewhere else, then copy and paste the save in. I've not done it myself, but they're saying directly extracting the save file into the game's save location causes it to break.
That´s precisely what I did tho!
Extracted on it´s own THEN added it afterwards!
That´s what caused all those problems!
And the Save file of the guy providing news of updates ends up in eternal loading screen by the way!

Well, if the save file is causing issues, maybe don't use the save file that someone uploaded. I do wonder if there's some issue with different operating systems causing problems, like windows 7 vs windows 10.
You can easily edit the files yourself since the save is in plain text, for example to increase your health, armor, energy, currency, exc. Just start a game, make a save, and then right click the save in the file and select edit with notepad.
Standard warning, before editing a save file you should make a backup or use a save you don't care about.
I just found a new problem: Eternal loading screen after beating up those ugly guys in the desert and trying to leave the place through the right!
Downloading the Update despite having all the actual parts seems to have worked for this one . . .
But not for the Frog Sorti one . . .

Personally, I am worried that many scenes of the software are soft locked due to the lack of dialogues. Maybe I need to install the game under the Japanese locale or launch the game itself through the locale? I am stuck at the moment with the ant larvae. :с Does anyone have a file of the cut scene of the dialogue with the ants?

My suggestion is to make a single file for the next update when downloading the game, don't separate it like (part 1,2,3), as that is one of the causes of damage in the game including bugs.
