There is a whole thread on this site for how/why Windows Defender would falsely flag different games as viruses/trojans and how to get around it to still play the games. It even happens with links directly from dev patreon sites. So unless you think game devs are feeding malware directly to their patreons, Windows Defender flagging a file as a potential virus/trojan doesn't mean there is one, and is in fact an almost useless flag in the majority of cases. Having a good antimalware program is important, but the most effective way to prevent getting viruses is to just not open or download files from sources you don't trust

A strong antivrius program is definitely paramount and needed. I do agree that the best way to preventing viruses is be vigil and careful of where the download files are coming from, but I would like to add something to this. Be sure to always scan files after they are downloaded, whether they be from F95zone, or from other websites, it is crucial to scan the file just to be on the safe side. Most virus protection programs have a built in scanner option via context menu. For example, for Bitdefender right clicking on a file or folder gives the option to scan the file, there's an added feature within the context menu, firstly it will say "Bitdefender", hover over that and it will have another option that says "Scan with Bitdefender." After choosing this, this will allow you to scan a file and Bitdefender will scan for any viruses or malaware the file or folder might have. You made good points someyoungguy, and staying protected on the internet and being cautious on what you download is very important.

I feel kinda dumb, stuck in the early game after cleaning my room...
Talked to mom, can't figure out for the life of me how to "go play my games".
Edit: So. MC has what looks like a decent-ish PC... And in the living room, he's got a console connected to a wide-ass TV.
Instead of playing games on his PC, with better FPS and a monitor that supports such alongside better response time between actions and shit on screen in the privacy of his own room...
He's playing on a console... On a TV... In the living room.
What the fuck?

More likely to run into mom bending over cleaning in the living room than your room, I guess ...who knows?
Can anyone tell me how to fix this error? It appears when I open the game and I have no idea what they're talking about.

There's a way to fix this by deleting some files that are scattered on your pc. The error will return sooner or later if you play different RPGM games.
IMO, it's simpler to click OK a few times until the error goes away.
ik its a irrelevant question to ask. but are all the uploaded files here virus free. im just a bit cautious to download the save files and others.
