More or less. This shit, and I use the word shit specifically, has an opportunity cost. If they are making content that appeals to a literal minority of the playerbase, they are thus not making content that appeals to a majority of the playerbase (I'm guessing that'd include both of us and 95% of the people on this website). Guess what happens when you don't make content that appeals to the majority of the playerbase? You lose players/patreon/money/incentive to make the game/ and ultimately the game itself.
Naturally I wish they made the game with even more traditional appeal, but I'm not gonna do anything about it. And its also important to note that porn video game creators may not follow the same incentive structures as 99% of people. I'm just more flabbergasted at such blatantly poor strategy decisions.
But at the same time i don't know their current patreon numbers/demographics/steam sales. So its all speculation on my part.

Speculation, but my guess is we're all at the whim of the Patreon members (I got mine on Steam, so I'm not signing up to Patreon to find out). Steam or other platform sales might complain on the forum, but I feel that it's going to be the Patreon members paying for their say in the direction of the project, as usual with these things.

1) When i start the game, downloaded the v0.19 64bit link from mega, the uncensored patch button does not seem to work, how do i activate it? it sends me to steam and does not let me enter. Any easy fix?

In 0.19.0 announcement on the official discord :
-For 0.19.0, UN-censoring the game is not currently working. This is due to changes we're making for the camera system that, well, let's just say have been highly requested for some time
-Edit/Addition: For 0.19.0 we're also aware that the player is...glistening.

Have you tried rivatuner? Check the settings in game for vsync and try it with and without.
I think the coil whining in this game for me was due to either dynamic lighting or shadows, try disabling one or both.

If any of you have a Pi Hole running, blacklist l1-1.anzu.io to block the injected adverts that were recently added to the game's backyard billboards (and any other games that use this). You could add it to your hosts file if you don't have a pi hole.

All other platform are not.

From what i understand from the official discord, the uncensoring dlc is borked in 0.19 due to engine change. We might get more information when 0.19.1 will be published.

I'm not a Patreon (I did however buy the game on Steam), but I'd be really hard pressed to be believe that at some point back those on Patreon essentially voted "more Grumps and less sex content". Much less that said patronage consists of anything more then a very very small minority who would actually prefer any real development time/investment being made on gay content.

I'd more guess that direction was strictly driven from the dev side in the hopes that attempting to present a more PC front in the current social climate would result in more overall sales for a game that had already started to stale out. Maybe it did. But I wouldn't bet on that net positive gain being all that big since again...this was game was never really set up well for that to begin with.

Looking into size of their team (check credits for devs, artists, writers), and actual number of Patron members, I do not think their Patron is anymore major contributior to their financing of the game.

On their website they brag with over 700,000 game copies sold, so I'm pretty sure most of their financing now is thought digital sales on Steam and other platforms.

If you think about that, Game Grumps content was great marketing material, that exposed the game to more players then it normally would. So from that perspective it was huge success.
