Yeah. All of that part kind of sucked any enjoyment out of it for me.
Not just the reading, but colors, pretty vs ugly, ....everything.
But maybe I missed somewhere that explained it all.

Still thought I'd give the update a try though.
I prefer the fantasy land part not the being back home part.... I mean,

The whole harem and MC's adventure to win girls over turned into fuckfest from Chapter 5 onwards. Now its just full on orgy citywide, every location has girls either fucking each other or other men, MC just participates and moves on to next. The entire city is basically a red light area

From what I read, it's mostly due to Dev getting lot of money for making that kind of content. It that's true then those fans will turn up here once this game blows up

This does not bode well, at all and even worst if dev did this out of the blue. I can only speak for myself but i won't trust any dev ever who pull crap like this. Is it really that difficult to state your intentions clearly regarding your own game and it's contents from the beginning?

I was just about to try this but now i'm left confused, really do not want to get into this only to see this turn into a cheap fuckfest simulator later.

So you can't reject any LIs here? So far i have played i did not get a choice to completely reject any main LIs or did i mess something up? And i'm talking about the main LIs as i have little to no interest in the side/secondary ones. Just to be clear this is not a complain, i am genuinely perplexed about this.

In all honesty the only reason i even tried this VN and willing to keep playing it, is this--

I want to be honest. Lately I've been playing some games where there were lesbian scenes, and I skipped them....
I don't know why, but they didn't hold any interest for me. So I'm considering this.
However, if there should be in the future, it's always up to you to decide what to do.

And that is why i'm puzzled about this. Well, in any case... as long as i can completely avoid the aforementioned tag and scenarios, i'm good.

No. Maybe initially it raised a little, but as the folks who didn't like that game change left, and it took some of them quite awhile due to how the game started (fools always hope it seems), the income from only those who liked the 'new' content was less than it had been before that content was added. At best it broke even, and that's actually the situation. Someone did a review of all the Patreons and income over time when different story and/or development milestones were done and that proved to be the case, at least for this dev.

The dev apparently regretted changing the story like they did and said that was a mistake, but will they do it again if they think they can short term gain more popularity? Probably. Fools never learn from their past actions, lol.

this guy is the living breathing proof that certain "things" will ruing all your hard work and follow you onwards in anything you want to do .

that game was a gem. then for reasons "unknown", he picked a gun, loaded it, pointed it to his foot and ignoring all warning voices, pulled the trigger. And there where a LOT of voices.
THEN he kept ignoring the voices, the decline of his work, the people leaving his side and proceeded to shoot his other foot. and kept shooting again and again and again even now.
Instead of taking a step back, open his eyes and remove ALL the crap he added. He could still save his game AND his reputation. He still can but it takes balls to remove 2/3ds of what you created.
Any time I see that game's signature under his name I am reminded how a good game, turned into a cesspool.
