Grind.. more grind, grind with every update. .same grind all over again. None of those things you listed is not evident for new players and they will quit before soon.. I am returning and find it hard to grind again. I have played my share of jprgs and this is by far one of the most grindiest.. at least make saving possible everywhere not only in bed as danger lurks every where and under every loot box.. I find myself running back to house to save as I keep dying all the time. Not very enjoyable game design atm. .like I side, I will not fund this before it gets better.

Get 50 wood.. you possibly have to cut down 30+ trees.. or at least 15.. as it feels that I get 1 most times I harvest or loot anything.. I have no idea where to find those ppl you listed.. or is there there some pile again hidden somewhere I should magicly know about?

Taking water takes stupidly long also requiring to waste 3 wood for one portion of water is just lame.. for ever water I need to cut 1-3 more trees and risk fighting zombies.. I havent found those 0 danger areas yet with resources... really 10 sccond "animation" for 1 water?

The farther away you are from the base, the more resources you can obtain during harvesting. The map is quite large. In the 3rd zone, it is enough to cut down 10 trees or less perhaps.

There is a map available from the start of the game that updates every time you enter a new region. It is accompanied by a legend to indicate important buildings.

Drinks can be found during the search in ruined houses but the bucket of water is there to help if you can't find any at all so it is normal that if it is easier, there is a penalty (but this can be reduced if you upgrade the bucket to pump => multiple upgrade=multiple reduce).

The more regions you cross, the more luck you are to find a region with 0 DANGER.

Do you have an official page for reporting bugs and discussions?
All the links are on the 1st page at the 3rd line "developer" otherwise you also have them in my signature.

Hi, I like your game concept, but if you don't mind I would like to give some constructive criticism. We appreciate that you are sharing your work with us but like many others have said before the game does feel Very grindy and tedious, I feel like I'm doing a lot of things for not much payoff. It feels more like a Survival Game with a bit of porn, instead of a Porn Game with survival elements.

"The Guide/To do interface" is not helpful at all, I get you want it to be vague so that we can find it ourselves but a little bit more description would be helpful. I spent way too much time looking for the crowbar only to find out that you need to do X first in order for it to spawn, in my opinion that is just not good game design as it can lead to people being stuck and frustrated. Hopefully you don't find offense to any of my words I genuinely want your game to succeed.

1. Survival game/Porn game : The goal is to create a game that is more or less the 2 genres at the same time except that we are only in the early stages of this game and that in order to work, I had to take care of all the survival part first because if there was only porn, the game would be unplayable. There will be more porn in the following versions, but you have to give me time to create them. Whenever a new animation is available, it is indicated in the changelog and for which NPC so you just have to follow her walkthrough to see it.

2. Grindy? : The available content finishes in a few days (game time), I don't see where the grind is unless you go on a blind exploration without following the walktroughs. A few tips have already been given several times. If you don't want to play to unlock porn, you have to go to the comics or animations section. Otherwise there are also VNs but I think they should be put in a different section than in the game (VN = visual novel so reading with images and/or videos).

3. The "To do" : This is the walkthrough of the introduction of the game, which is done in 2 days (game time). Day 1, you meet Kate, you unlock the workshop and you can start exploring. 2nd day, you are asked to rescue a woman who has just screamed in the farm right next to the starting house... Why are you looking for a crowbar?
You will try to save her by joining her and at that moment, you receive a message telling you that you have to find something to open the door that is blocked. You have to follow what the To do or walkthroughs says and not follow indications that may have been given in a conversation in which not all the information is there.
PS: I don't see how this one is vague, it says exactly what to do each time. Example: Quest 1 => rebuild your room, there is a pile of wood next to the house. Quest 2 => rebuild the kitchen, use the wood from your collapsed shelter.
Each time, it is written what to do, what to find and where to find it.

4. The walkthroughs : Once the "To do" is complete, you must go exploring to find them. These unlock each time you find an NPC, just look at the part of each one in the quest book. It's not complicated to find NPCs, if there are important places on the map, it's because there's a good reason ;)

I'm not offended and I try to answer as completely as possible without writing too much (otherwise it's too long to read). I feel like i'm being taken for an aggressive person when i'm not at all :p Maybe I'm not formulating what I want to say correctly or I'm translating them wrong.

I seriously tried and despise this fucking game on so many levels!
It's not easy to help you if you're just insulting the game. Maybe if you asked a question about what you're having trouble with, I could give you the information you're missing or that you may not have seen.

Getting constantly attacked while trying to cut down trees, epecially to make drinking water and am tired of dying. There's not enough available beverages early on, and am losing morale points too fast. The bottom line is I'm tired of dying, and don't have enough to stay alive to properly get going. Fighting 2-3 zombies the the 1st hour or two takes away too much and leads to early death, especially against higher level zombies. I didn't realize the wooden stick wears out rather quickly, leaving me with no weapon but my fists. Fix some of these things esp. finding more beverages and not getting attacked cutting down trees, and I might give it another go and probably others too.

I have tried to explain this to dev couple of times... he just insists that we are doing it wrong and its our fault.

Save Editor is a godsend for this. I swear that every aspect of how this is set up starting from the dialogue menu selections is pure rage bait.

I think you underestimate how many people will do this. Usually, that’s the whole point of a game—especially a sandbox—and consulting the walkthrough is either a last resort, or a way to ensure you don’t miss specific content you really want to see. Compulsory walkthroughs were a thing in 90’s point-and-click adventures, and I think most people will agree that they didn’t elevate the medium.

As for my two cents, I’d like to point out that, before getting any upgrades, it’s essentially impossible to fight any zombies to clear the way. Since harvesting resources always has a chance of dropping a zombie on you, and because, at the start game, you’re too weak to fight off more than one zombie before going home to rest (unless you consume a lot of precious resources), this means that you can never get into a fight with a wandering zombie, as you need to keep all your strength for the inevitable ambush. It also means that, once you have been ambushed while harvesting resources, you need to call it quits for that day, as you can’t survive a second random encounter.

Finally, the animations are way too long. I get the point—harvesting takes time and needs to expose you to risks—but five seconds is way overkill (and gets really irritating with the repetitive harvesting noise). Considering the speed at which zombies move, you could probably cut it down to two seconds, in my opinion; maybe even one and a half.

It could be severely relieved by making the early zone zombies significantly weaker. As it is, a standard zombie in the start area can kill you, in like 4-5 hits. You need to hit them 3-4 times with the stick to take them out. So you can't really do more than one. That means it takes a lot of time to clear areas, if it's even possible. It means it takes a long time to gain experience. It means the start of the game is an extremely slow drag of trying to harvest one resource pile, surviving the zombie encounter, going home to recover, repeat ad nauseum. It's not fun. It's not intuitive - you shouldn't need a walkthrough, a game should give you a good idea of what you're supposed to do.

If the early zombies were half as strong, in both terms of HP and Attack power, it wouldn't be nearly as much as a slog.

Also, dev, if half a dozen people are telling you the same thing and explaining why that part of the game is a problem, it's not a good look to say "No, you're all just doing it wrong, the game's fine."

Thanks, I figured out from what you said that the MC can consume gathered food in your backpack to recharge health in the field. Allows to to stay out long when gathering.

How can I find Jeanne?
I never said it was your fault. On the other hand, I said :
  • It is possible to heal yourself between fights using food and drinks.
  • You can find an NPC (Lin) who uses a lab to create potions that can heal you, increase your strength, increase your defense, or cure the knockout. The lab needs to be improved.
  • At the beginning of the game, there are a large number of resources in the base, it's up to you whether you prefer to use it to create equipment to go into battle or use it to build Elizabeth's room.
  • You can have as much equipment as you want in your inventory. If there is 1 that breaks during the fight, you can replace it by choosing the last option from the battle menu.
  • You have a one in five chance of making noise and getting attacked by a zombie (unless you use any cheating program, it will reverse the %).
  • You can collect water from the river with the bucket that Kate shows you at the beginning of the game, then you have to sterilize it with the campfire. In the "additional construction" section, it is possible to modify the bucket to a pump to collect more water and this can be improved to get more and decrease the harvesting time.
  • Areas with more powerful zombies give more during harvest.
  • Kate's workshop can be upgraded to get more or more powerful equipment.
  • Wearing multiple pieces of defense equipment decreases the likelihood of losing them quickly. 1 random piece of equipment loses 1 durability per hit. In addition, each increases your defense. The lvl2 equipment makes you invulnerable against R1 zombies. The same goes for lvl3 and R2 zombies.
  • You can make repair kits at Kate's workshop to repair equipment.
  • You have 3 NPCs to find who join the fight with you. You just have to search in the important places to find them.
  • There are 4 firearms to find (1/ fighter). They give a big advantage in combat but consume ammunition.
  • Sophia (one of the fighters) allows you to unlock another workshop to make items to throw during the fights (you have to follow her walkthrough). In this room, it is possible to make ammunition for firearms.
  • Jessie can grow vegetables that are salvageable every day around noon. Just follow her walkthrough. In addition, she gives you a side quest by asking you to find bags of soil. Each bag allows you to add 2 vegetables per day.
  • The "To do" is used to know how the game works.
  • NPC walkthroughs unlock new rooms in the base and gain new perks. They also unblock sexual content (when it's available). All sandbox RPGs work with a quest system. I can name several very well-known ones that have just been released.
  • You can move the zombies by making them run after you and then go get the crops. Warning: the zombies will walk without stopping to return to the place where they were before running after you. They don't see you if you're behind their backs.
  • There are also opportunities to obtain resources without the risk of fighting.
I think that's quite a few solutions in the game that can solve the problems you just mentioned. And it's not over because there are still other NPCs that need to be added, there will be 2 more bases (to visit), other bonuses that need to be added (example: modify tools to reduce the harvesting time or more), a fast travel system, and much more.

I think I have answered everything. All of this is in the game and the explanations are given every time you unlock something. You can also find all this on the GameFaq. If you need more explanations or if I forgot something, you can always ask your questions ;)
