Absolutly hated episode 10. Not my thing at all, and even if it was the thing I hate more than what just happened is every "choice" leading to the same outcome. Something about that just grinds my gears.
I did actually support this on patreon for episode 8 and immediately stopped supporting when the theft happened because I could see where the story was heading, and I was right. I said as much to the Dev when I stopped my support.
Im sure he will keep going the way he is and that's fine, maybe when this is completed I could stomach a full playthough just to satisfy my completionism OCD!
Stories with multiple routes are difficult to write because the author has to take so many different factors into account. Stories with multiple routes AND multiple endings even more difficult and time consuming to write. And even most of those games have climatic moments that all routes merge upon. Very few VNs have completely separate routes, because that pretty much means writing an X number of completley different games. I think you're holding EU to a standard that even AAA game developers like Bioware struggle with. That's not particularly fair.
You're actually incorrect to assume all the choices lead to the same outcome. There 'is' a general plot the main game route follows, but there are actually many changes depending on some of the important choices you make in this game. Some of these choices affect the side routes/endings too, for example, the first Laura ending changes significantly depending on whether or not you choose to have sex with her sister.
You'll do you, but I would like to encourage cutting the dev a little slack.
Pretty sure those are three different ends of chapter 10. Grace grabbing Daphne at the end meaning Daphne isn't packing her things from Grace's; all three of them calling Laura Mistress; MC walking out on Leah, Ashley and Cory without saying a word. Last one sounds like harem to the rescue, second one sounds like bad end, first one is Daphne doing something. My bet is Daphne will pretend to be hypnotised Grace and smack Laura in the back of the head with something heavy regardless of which variation it was
It's the usual "villain getting the upper hand before hero pulls some trick or miracle" trope. Judging by you people getting all riled up and emotional the author did great. Power wanks are fun, but not every story should be a power wank, you know?
Agreed, the fact that the devs are getting any response is better than no response contrary to conventional wisdom that says the MC should always be perfect. No response means the game is boring.
You guys can argue all you want. I just want an ending where I get to put babies in giant-boobed waifus Grace and Jenn, with their friends Haley and Daphne as handmaiden concubines / co-waifus. Everyone else is nice but optional. Laura needs to get a personality transplant.
