Maybe your game doesn't have access to read it's folder? Try to check if it's not on a read-only location. Move it to the the desktop and try a shorter folder name to see if it helps.

just my two cents:
since the new rules talk only about "installs", the way the game is packaged and sold (a portable app) may bypass the whole issue altogether

and since it takes effect from January 2024, dobu may as well just continue working with unity and do a limited sale a month or two prior, then close it by the end of the year

i could see later installments of this game franchise under a new engine, but it would initially slow down development time as they get around to learning/porting things over; or released as drop-in DLCs to the portable package (like MBM), and continue development as-is IF portable games aren't affected by unity's greed

the only time it would be affected is if dobu wants to release the games on steam for better exposure, as those would count as installs; but it seems unlikely given the theme of the franchise
