EDIT: Jokes aside, I normally do not care about these fanmade asset flip games, but when the makers start patreons and try to earn money off of it, I find it incredibly scummy. Stealing someone else’s work for your own enjoyment and sharing is one thing, but trying to make money off of stolen work is just a whole new low in my opinion. This guy could and should be sued imo.

Regarding copyright claims, I could say nothing about it as an old internet user. Old sites had many pirated or stolen goods and rebrand it to their websites (You know what sites they are). Now, it still continue on to this day. Good or bad, there will always be one of them to take their place.
Let's hope the developer/s will finish the game before something serious happened to them.

heres the thing, whose making profit? people asking for support aka patreons for stolen CG/art/characters. that HAS NOT been credited to at all and could at least had done that? have no right to complain. unless they can finally do something original and not some copy and paste, if not, might as well be like those chinese companies who copy and paste games/characters/music into their own games just to make money and get law suited if they should ever make tons of money. or have their stuff jacked by someone else and make more profit than them.

so yes you are right we can do nothing that would last against scammer and shit game, but if everyone just look away it will become a norm and make it even harder for actual dev to get support and for the user it will get even harder to find good game

Imagine complaining about someone stealing art on a site that pirates games.
Been mentioned before; for some reason the dev went out of their way to changed the save path to the c: directory [for windows]. Not sure about the other systems, but they probably have an equivalent.
Personally, this, along with what has already been mentioned, speaks volumes about the dev. Imo, I'd steer clear of the dev and any game they release. -- You never know how far they'd go to get some money.
