Agree. Games are not movies or novels. Players are not just viewers. They controle the main character and should be able to get attached to him at some level. I don't get why so many devs think people would like to play as betas, social incompetent and/or unattractive MCs that, if something, have a big cock. :cautious:
Maybe they believe that those are the only types of people that play porn games.

I see you haven't done your homework on the 80s high school movies this game is based on. Alpha males were always the antagonists in those movies. protoganists, on the other hand, were outsiders and misfits hanging out with weirdos, fighting against the popular kids, the school, or the police. And if any of them were liked by classmates, it was because they were clever like Ferris, not because they were Alpha males.

Oh, I don't know, maybe we'll get a chance to make him a girl... or, I KNOW, A FUTA!!! Yay!

Personally, I think his look perfectly complements the plot and the style of the game. So, leave him be.
He looks like hobo. Who said anything about gender bending MC?

This photos shows what skaters looked like in the 80s, does he and his friends really look different when you take off his dark glasses?

I really don't understand why some people have such a hard time understanding that this game takes place in the 80s.

If someone ever makes a game set in the 70s, will everyone complain that the characters look like this?.

Some young people ride skateboards and bicycles while still looking stylish.
Also, MC always wears a backpack and sunglasses, so it's not just about the clothes. It's about his overall look.

Look, maybe I'm overthinking this because I always care about how I look. I've also noticed that games with attractive, charismatic main characters are more popular. To be honest, the main character in this game is inadequate. He never takes off his backpack or sunglasses. He has a bad haircut, and we never see his face. I find it hard to connect with the MC. However, the game itself is excellent. The developer is doing a fantastic job.

I believe you're going to have to accept the MC's look, because apparently it's not changing.

The MC completely fits not only the time period of the game, but how we are supposed to view him. He's not meant to be attractive and charismatic, or pretty, like the lads in that photo. He's meant to look scruffy and pale and a bit grungy.

Perhaps you need to re-read the title of this game and let it sink in for a bit.

Jeez I didn't know Sonny Crockett rode a skateboard.:)

I get it, it's a matter of personal preference. For me, Miami Vice in a small provincial town would look out of place.

As for changes to his appearance? I guess you'll have to wait until the Supernatural part of the game starts. Who knows? maybe Fatalmasterpiece wants Corey the Vampire to look different.

Even if it was true, it doesn't mean that the MC's appearance in those game is the main reason why they are popular, correlation does not imply causation.

Then there's also the fact that it's entirely subjective, and that, as others have mentioned, the protagonists in the kind of movies that this game is clearly taking inspiration from were usually normal looking, unassuming guys who'd hang out with the weirdos, nerds or outcasts. It's not that they were bad looking, but it's pretty obvious that a lot of those 80s movies were trying to make their characters as relatable as possible, and that included how they looked.

Players control shit. Games, even the ones with more branching paths or number of endings, are written in stone.
We as the player can't change that. At some point or another you will find the MC annoying because he's not you.

Interesting, I mostly look at the heavenly women in this game more than what the mc looks like, haven't really had any issues with mc looking like the grinch in any game when the goal is either the story or goon speedrun. I guess my yum is someone else's yuck. But I guess if you get into it deeper, having a handsome, neat mc get beautiful women is obvious too easy, but having an ugly guy pull a 100 now thats exciting well to me ig.

I don't care about the MC look, I'm just here for the girls :D

OK, not totally true, I'm a firstly here for the story.
But the girls are part of the story, so... :)

In fact, I like that the MC isn't some Chad or alpha male bullshit.
And this add a bit of mystery: how a guy that many girls should despise can in fact attract them?
Probably because we can begin to see that it is not just some random dude with an average look.
