Hi, I'm having trouble finding an old guide I saw once to animate face expression in the studio. Anyone can point me to some tutorials and examples? Ideally face expression where the jaw bone is linked to pistons, or using timeline?

Afaik facial expressions are blendshapes. So you can't link it to something.
But since it's a blendshapes, you can animate them in VNGE.
Not sure if timeline support it or not though.

Since you can't spawn only the clothing which in this case is footwear, you can just spawn random character, open up studio chara maker (default shortcut is L.Shift+D), pick the footwear you want, toggle off every clothing piece except the shoes, set the chara to be invisible.

Many thanks for the tip! This makes it so much better.

[guide] basics and overview of studio neo 2 by
That youtube video has been deleted (due to YouTube ToS). He made a new video a couple of years ago to replace it.

How to use hooh's target gimmick, lookat gimmick and hijack look? Been trying to follow the instruction manual for hooh's gimmicks, but it's not working.
Trying to have girl shaking her head but have her eyes looking at a specific object. I got the shaking head part no problem, but I can't keep her eyes on target so to speak.
Help please!

Just spawn the hijack look item and configure the character in item+ menu.

What breast softness and weight do you guys recommend for maximum jiggle?
Personally I like this configuration :
Softness/Weight : 100/70, 100/100, 125/100
Override :
Damping : 25
Elasticity : 10
Stiffness : 0
Inert : 10

Going overboard doesnt look really good when animated as it looks saggy.

I'll try it out later. Do you use push up plugin? I think they are not compatible, right?

Hey, is there a way to "keyframe" the animation controller?
Like if i have a piston gimmick that is going up and down, with a 0.5 speed. I want it to exactly happen when i press PLAY on the timeline, for example if i have to keyframe/adjust fingers or something within the motion. So i just want the " play animation" to my timeline, so my time plays+the animation of the piston starts.

I know i can animate the up and down motion myself, but a piston gimmick makes a perfect loop with smoothing.

anyone know if its possible?

Would you happen to know how to move/edit clothes in Studio Neo in order to fit scenes better?

and hair as well if you know that as well.

I found this in the discord but not sure what was meant by it lol

Code:
NO
[7:33 AM]
No bone in clothing
[7:34 AM]
if u want move it . copy u character
[7:34 AM]
open Renderer
[7:34 AM]
select all and click uncheck on []Enable in left side of the window (edited)
[7:35 AM]
and find clothing name in the list right side
[7:35 AM]
and click []Enable

As for the clothing the principle is same as this

In short what you need to do is copy the character, make the link between visible naked chara or chara 1 and invisible clothed chara or chara 2.
I don't really understand with the renderer, maybe it means renderer editor or material editor. But you get what i meant.

This is because as the message you got from discord, clothing doesn't have bones you can edit, so if the clothing you want is clipping no matter what you do, then nothing you can do. Just accept it or pick other clothing.

As for the hair, you can use ABMX or HS2PE Adv. window. Search for hair bone. Its should be named something like hairB for back hair or hairF for front hair. But there's a limit how much you can edit as not all hair type has same bones.
