I trust her as far as I can throw her. If you have Cass in prison and select the vision of the present when you meet the woods spirit/lady you will see that Alaina was always hand in hand with Cass during her rebellion and is now trying to secretly help her in prison. Which very much makes me doubt that she was ordered to kill the queen and likely agreed with Cass to "help" the queen escape so that she'd retain a measure of trust with the MC or at least escape punishment, which she did. Alaina seems to very much be a double agent who is a spy against the MC. I didn't mind her reports to mom about the MC at all but her working with/for Cass is something else...what she is doing now is outright treason.Alaina Time
I don't think so. I know there is some branching going on with love vs corruption approach and I can't say I've seen every possible variation but I'm pretty sure it's not possible yet. There is one scene where the MC can have some brief sex with her either conscious or unconscious but if she's awake she pushes the MC away and if she's unconscious the MC is interrupted by someone else and has to stop.

Cass is the best thing in this novel.
She is literally the protagonist. Seriously, she's the one with the story, grudge, proactivity and goals. Player character is just a sack of potatoes with a dick taken on a ride.
Nah, I don't like her that much. She's a self centered manipulative megalomaniac, and not particularly smart at that. She's entirely consumed by hatred and obsessed with power. Besides, her being in prison is the best possible outcome for her for what she did without the MC becoming her pawn through blackmail to which I say: hahahahaha no...because if she's not in prison then she's dead. There is otherwise no possible path in which she's walking around freely at the end on 0.9.1. So I offered her the most kindness possible...which is more than she deserved if we're being honest.

Sticking a knife in Cass's back in a masterful coup-within-a-coup is one of the best things in this game. Her blood ushering in a new "red" order, heralding an empire reborn. At least she proved useful in the end, for once in her miserable life; her dog-eat-dog philosophy proven true in a most glorious fashion.
