I can't speak for all other routes, but at least in the one I was playing as my main. I think it's just after all the shit that's been happening with the coup, her generally being sus af, and then siding with your Uncle against her. I think she realises she's kind of losing control of the situation, is rapidly falling from favour and also losing the trust of the MC. Which she obviously needs as a shield.I wonder what Alaina was thinking. Revealing all those secrets was probably the dumbest thing that she could have done.
Imagine if Elis decides to reveal all of it to the lords and the judges of the golden order. It’s as if she forgot what Elis potentially told her about the nature of lies, back when they first returned from exile.
So it's like a last "huzzah attempt" to try and win you back to her side, and prove that she's "loyal"
