Eh, fighting people who use guerilla tactics and have fucking magic at their disposal in an open conflict seems like a bad time, even if we were sure to win due to numbers and equipment... would rather take down their schemes and leadership and break their spirit so they don't try to pull shit like this again, or at least wait a few decades until the MC is old and frail so the cycle can start again hahaha.
Nah, it's fine. We'd WIN, we have plot armour for days :ROFLMAO:

But like I said, calling her out and getting her to flee, is for sure probably NOT the most optimal play. But It's the play that would satisfy me the most. I'd rather just get it over with and establish we are NOT friends, I do NOT trust you. And I would very much like to kill you to end this annoying ass scheming. Open hostility is the way! :ROFLMAO:

The Love Path with the queen is so bad that I couldn't help it and replayed it without her, and it was by far my best playthrough. (Lust Path isn't worth it either.)

My playthrough was basically Bookworm > Aurora > White > Lords.
Without any sexual/romantic relationships with Seraphina, Lia, or Cassandra, I intended to avoid Elin as well, but I failed.

I also avoided many sex scenes that seemed unimportant; I don't want the elves capturing every woman I sleep with.
I went after Sona because Bookworm is incapable of defending himself, and Josephine, but simply because I loved her, but I don't know if I'll see her again, I helped kill her husband, and the elves will probably capture her, since she's most likely pregnant with my child. (But what I'd really like is for her to come after me in the capital and agree to be my lover; after all, she's already accepted that she's a "bad girl.")

The reason I chose Bookworm was, first, because Magic Weaver, which seemed more interesting, was abandoned by LM; second, all my other gameplay was with the Warrior perk; and third, I was thinking that I'll have to deal with elves soon, and I'll need to understand what they're saying to avoid being tricked.

Now I'll try to do a similar playthrough, but choosing Warrior and Isis.
Playing this game, and then avoiding all the incest that you can like The Matrix, is fucking wild...I COULD NEVER :ROFLMAO:

Having an absolute blast with the game, nicely written and solid models, especially the Queen.

I'm at the chapter that has to do with giving a ring to someone and I'd l like to go all in on the Queen (I think I've developed a parasocial relationship to her). Is it possible to make her OTP with the MC? or is she a side character and thus limited to the sisters and two queens from the north and south? I know the game rewards replays but I'd like to now for my first play through, thanks.

The Queen is one of the 3 main Love Interests (Cassandra, Elin, and Seraphina/Queen), so yes - you can only romance her if you want. You can avoid Elin, Cass, and Lia entirely, and focus only on the Queen.

She is sure to get a solo ending, if LM's previous game is anything to go by.

I'll do you one better:
1-) Use propaganda to cause mass fear by de-humanizing the rebels and by causing false flag operations to gain support from the populace
2-) Fund extremist local militas to exterminate the rebels
3-) Infiltrate the rebels' ranks by deploying government spies or by bribing those inside the rebel group willing to cooperate
4-) Mass arrest anybody and everybody with a slight suspicion of working for the rebels or those known to have symphaties for them
5-) Call upon a holy jihad/crusade against the rebels, once again by using propaganda
6-) Cause extensive scorched earth tactics around the places that the rebels are known to be hiding and/or operating
7-) Put prize money on the head of the rebels
8 -) Spread fear among the ranks of the rebels by publicly torturing captured rebel hostages
9-) Spread more lies about the rebels by stating that they are a threat to the kingdom
10-) Open up concentration camps to house the elven population, where they can be assimilated via re-education programs
11-) Re-integrate them into the society by forcing them to marry non-elves so that their lineage is completely wiped out
12-) Deny any wrong doing and make sure to burn all chronicles mentioning them for good

ngl, I always thought Conrad was sus. Guy was too clean for the position he has.

Dunno exactly how bad he is, but if I was feeling particularly paranoid... He gets the king killed so the isolated and politically-untrained half-breed son gets the job as soon as possible, before he has a feel for politics or any local connections. If Conrad is behind the poisoning, he's already puppeted Cass(?) and that branch of the family to set this whole "emperor come again" thing into play, and can easily become Elis' trusted advisor and rule the kingdom in every way that matters.

Hell, Elis is the only son, once things settle down a little bit and Elis has a son of his own Conrad can outright have Elis killed if he wants and act as regent for the newborn boy king. Blame the poisoning on the queen, play to racial tension, etc. Marry one of the sisters for legitimacy, have a few kids of his own, ensure Elis' kid dies somehow (horse riding accident, stabbed by a beggar, hybrid sickness, etc.) and his own children inherit the empire.

~~~
Unrelated it's hilarious how badly Cassandra wants to be some kinda grand queen Dark Lady Villainess while very clearly losing to her brother's dick and love.
What do you mean that Conrad is behind the poisoning??...o_O
I thought it was revealed in every branch, that it was Cass and Priscilla who poisoned the King together. After both were tricked and misled by Alaina into thinking that he was responsible for killing Cass mother...So I'm not really sure what you're talking about?
The fact is we haven't seen any ulterior motives to Conrad yet, other than being loyal to the Golden Order and of heavily mistrusting Alaina...So stop slandering my boi!!
I have faith he's going to remain our good little lad, until the end.
Eh, not everybody needs to be shady. Some can just be normal people trying to do good. And that's my read on Conrad so far...
Taking it at face value, absolutely. I'll be pretty impressed if he turns out to be this squeaky clean, lawful good paladin type who's only real fault is zeal. Given how similar stories pan out, I can't see it happening so it would be a surprising twist.
For me main suspicion aganist Conrad being formed on White (long) path: Lady Alaina hide him in the labaratory (during Cass's plot); after this Conrad (conversation with MC) wanted "return the favor" (she save his life) - "What black ingratitude!". Besides, Cass (conversation in bathroom, good relationship with MC) says that Conrad "pretends to be an honest knight" (two-faced nature); at bad relationship with MC Cass advices Conrad on an Iron advisor's post (possible conclusion, that Conrad is MC's enemy).
The fact Conrad is so "clean" in a world of shady characters should be a flag.
Exactly! It's the so-called Dostoevsky paradox: no purely good paladin remains sane or alive in a world full of schemes and corruption! Just remember what happened to Ned Stark!
I predict that future updates will reveal that Conrad is the great Keyser Söze from Imperial Chronicles.
While Conrad is sus, I feel like Alaina is more of an imminent threat to any sane ruler. She killed everyone who knew the king, she made him sterile and pushed for the MC to get exiled with the addition that she killed Cass's mother after convincing her to kill the previous regis AND then she egged Cass to do her rebellion after giving her some hidden information.
Conrad is the type of dude that while opportunistic is not stupid to do the things Alaina has done, but if pushed against the wall aka threaten his position, he will take measures. Sure Alaina "taught" you and kept an eye on you, but still does not make up to be in the good graces of Elis.
This leads the path to all my playthrough with siding with conrad and then feign trust alaina.
There's also some variation depending on if you know Priscilla or not. She escapes if you don't know her.
How does Priscilla exactly not escape? So how do you get to know her? I stayed in the prison and had that talk by the bed and she still escaped. Any advice?
I'm going to be 100% honest here. This the first time I found out Priscilla could escape at all :ROFLMAO:. How does she even escape? Like what are you guys doing?
What are YOU doing? I'm doing some highly unorthodox stuff, apparently. So that in a post-coup-attempt side comment to Lia the MC just ends up mentioning: -By the way, Priscilla escaped, but we'll catch her.
Edit: Wait. She whispers to meet her at dawn, but that scene never comes to pass before the coup attempt already starts. Should you be able to meet her before?
