just realized, conrad reveal about mc father being a big sham, and this scene from the past about cass mother killing the actual king, it all means that cass is the only legitimate heir to the throne
I might have to do a full play through again to actually remember but wasn't Cass's father actually a usurper who had his older brother framed for murder of their father? For some reason I'm remembering Cass's father as the younger of the brothers?

Cass' father was the original Regis who was then killed by her mother and replaced with his older brother... If I'm remembering correctly.

There's still the king's other brother, who'd be the next in line if Cass were an only child. If there were no other options but Cass, then a matrilineal marriage would be organized, where a man would be married into the royal house and become the king or regent.

Cass wouldn't get the throne. It would go to Conrad as the brother of the King. Males succeed over females in most cases. And seeing as Cass was the only child of Regis. If the truth were revealed. She can't get on the throne without killing Conrad. Since he's the only remaining eligible Male in the immediate family. But if he isn't the only male relative living, it would likely move to them. Maybe even get Cass to marry them. Basically, Cass chances depends on how many males are left in the family.

Right so... The older brother who would have actually been king before Regis, if Regis hadn't usurped the title? If we go by the logic that Cass is the rightful ruller because of Regis, then by the same logic Ellis should be the rightful ruler because Regis shouldn't have been king?

It depends on the kind of inheritance.
If you have absolute agnatic inheritance, every man in the kingdom has a claim to the throne before Cass, if they have agnatic-cognatic inheritance, which is more likely, there's the question of generational back inheritance, which usually doesn't happen unless the entire patrilinear branch of the family is pruned.
Agnatic-cognatic inheritance is usually the rule, which means unless there are no children of the king left, the kings brothers get the land. At that point inheritance is again decided by primogeniture (first come first served).

I'm pretty sure Alaina mentions it at some point. The subject being that if anything happened to Elis, Conrad would be next in line. That is, unless Elis didn't have a male heir himself. It wouldn't go to Cass. And even if the secret about her being Regis only child came out. It would still go to Conrad. Just like it would if Elis died before having children.

Cass would realistically only get it if Conrad died at that point.

I guess I shouldn't have killed Conrad.

Whoops.
Well, you would have to kill yourself next for Cass to get it. You know, since you're Elis, not Cass. Elis being a worse hurdle for her than Conrad now. Since Elis is definitely having a son.

Thinking of giving this a go, what's the incest like? Actual sex? Lesbian sisters? Step-aunt's-neighbor's-dog groomer's-mom's-adopted-nephew?

I'm still playing this for the first time far only seen scenes with the sisters but it's more of a story first , then slow burn when it comes to relationships and sex for the most part. Some characters are quick. I'm pretty sure I saw mother scenes too when I did a ctrl skip before I decided to play this for real. It's a pretty long game

lol funny thing even tho this is clearly a game for the incest fans ( when it comes to the relationships) I really don't care about that I just love the story so far. Still playing it but up to what I play I really don't care for the mother or younger sister content really when it comes to that type of content so far expect when horny brain is on cause the Mother is hot and Lia is a fun character haha. I do like how Elin and Cass is handled so far when it comes to that however , unsure about Aunt and Cousin I barley met them last I played.

I like all incest, I just don't want to do it with the daughter in the game LOL

Cass wouldn't be the rightful ruler or anything since Regis identity has been replaced by the older brother.

However, I would say that if Regis (The other one) was not cruel/idiotic, Cass would have been the heir since its basically Ruler's children and then Ruler's Siblings unless stated otherwise that only X gender can inherit

For example, The Fr*nch introduced the genderlaw of Salic Succession meaning only Males can inherit the throne and Females do not get claims nor their children.
