The class stuff is the biggest letdown so far, and you’re not alone. Part of that frustration is not knowing if any of these perks will translate to unique endings for the game/LIs, or if they’re just for more flavor text with them during the main story.I enjoyed the plot advancement but also find the MC a bit frustrating. He seems to just take a back seat too much and really has very little presence or commanding nature for a Prince of such standing. I found myself wishing he would act more like a Prince than a clueless stable boy. Also, in the tavern when the sister is talking about Mages and effects on males, I was waiting for my MC to join in as I picked Mage for his class, but nope, just stays silent, plus he reverts to dagger when facing Celine who is using magic...
I still enjoyed the update but just find the MC a bit too unassuming for his role. Also the class thing...rarely gets used and seems pointless.
Personally, I’d say that if they were never meant to affect endings, then they are in this weird place where they do affect the perception of relationship progression - but ultimately can’t, as they have to be equalized with other perks (Mage MC, for example, is much more intimate and closer with Elin than as a Warrior or Bookworm). As it stands, they just fuck with the pacing too much.
If they were meant to affect endings, then that feels bad in the sense that you have tripled the amount of work for these endings with various variables (Perk + Dom/Love + Affinity level).
Overall, these perks are weird because we aren’t sure if they are meant to be flavor only (for which they are underused outside of sex situations) or if they are significant in the grand scheme of things.
