if you not on her route yeah, because she married with lockhart.
These news changes everything...

Mind you, I don't care about "NTR" in the sense that an LI you ignore or pass on develops her own relationships down the line, but many on this site would still consider that some form of NTR-lite.

I'm expecting the crowd with pitcforks and torches to arrive any minute now. And the guy who asks if there is any NTR in the game.

I don't like that this update had a mandatory scene. I'm talking about the scene where the MC grinds on Elin when they're with their mom, I'm doing the Aurora route and I'd like the option to not cheat on her +I don't do incest content in general. I'd like scenes to be optional in general but if there are mandatory scenes it should be with the chosen wife
just like in monkey business (incest, harem, pregnancy, voyeurism, romance, corruption, etc) and several new ones that fit the setting :whistle:
Hi, could you please check the thing above? I'm not sure how you intended this scene but it looks like it's a bug in a code.

if sis_dramma == "agreed" or sis_dramma == "blackmail" or sis_dramma == "white" or sis_dramma == "violence" and elin_intro_mood < 0 or sis_ring_end > 2:

I assume scene should happen only if you have negative relations or chose forceful ring ending with Elin.
It seems how the code is written renpy pairs (sis_dramma == "violence" and elin_intro_mood < 0) while others go with or so scene happen for all scenarious even if you have good relationship and chose love ring ending.

Probably code should look something like this:
if (sis_dramma == "agreed" or sis_dramma == "blackmail" or sis_dramma == "white" or sis_dramma == "violence") and (elin_intro_mood < 0 or sis_ring_end > 2):

Normally, you would be correct. But like most women in the medieval settings, they have no power to impose their will on their husbands. MC is the king, and if he wants to cheat on his official wife, he can do so with impunity. The reverse, however, is not allowed.
Men cannot get pregnant, women can. It's really that simple, and anyone who screams 'unfair' to this arrangement just ignores the biological reality that paternity NEEDS to be ensured for the stability of the realm.

There's also the fact that the game depicts the prince as a womanizing drunkard starting from the beginning, so your choice is kind of made for you in that regard.
When you're essentially thrown away for literal years by your parents over stupid shit and constantly having to watch over your shoulder for assassins, I'd be a womanizing drunkard too.

I am not trying to delve deeper into gender dynamics here... though you are absolutely right.

Ironically, becoming a womanizing drunkard is perhaps the most dangerous thing to become for self-preservation; how are you supposed to watch out for threats while blackout drunk, or inviting all manner of women into your bed?

I agree. Honestly, I think he was depressed in the beginning and dove into it to cope with it. If I was tossed into exile through no fault of my own, I wouldn't give a shit about trying either.

I hope Cass goes back to having shorter hair, or we get more flash back scenes. It was a cute design
When you first arrived in the west you can choose to see the past, the present or the future.
If you didn't side with Cass in the coup she's imprisoned. If you pick to see the present you see a small scene with her.

She'll look like this if you didn't side with her I guess.

Damn I would go with that but the price is too high, I don't want to lose my boy Acker

Greetings everyone!

I recently started to rework & improve the English translation of Imperial Chronicles as a pet project of mine. With Lazy_Monkey 's blessing, I share the first part of the game (named Intro) with you in hopes of improving your gameplay experience and encouraging another replay!

In addition to the dialogue rework, missing scenes & dialogue was added, variable bugs fixed or cleaned up for a smoother and cleaner experience. This includes the "recap screens" which will also get fixed so that player choices are properly tracked & expressed.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy working on it! 0.1 is currently underway, and will be published soon!

P.S.: If I missed anything at all, please let me know, and I will fix it ASAP!

The attached files are, in order:
  • The first three "intro.rpy", "intro2.rpy", and "intro3.rpy" files are the original script files in Russian - just fixed up. These replace the files found in the root of the "\game" folder.
  • The second three files are the English translation files, and they go into the following location "\game\tl\english"

Thank you for this. You can tell english is not the first language for the creator and that he's trying. This would improve the game massively for people like myself who can't stand bad english. Context is everything when you're writing.

I also wanted to thank you for doing this (y).
This takes a game off my list of ones I intended to fix myself. I have done four Russian games and it seems that games using Cyrillic, end up with quite a few bugs. The alphabet difference combined with the language difference creates more problems than with most other languages. Even Chinese has fewer problems (my current project).
I am glad you are enjoying this also, since I can completely relate to that feeling :sneaky:.
I am sure every native English speaker will appreciate your effort, even if they are not aware of what you have done :).

Heyho everyone.

Chatgpt and I made a little cheat script that can give the player all perks at once.

Warning: This script will modify the game files irreversibly. I am not responsible for any damage this may cause to your saves!

Here is is how it works:

Any time the game wants to check which perk you have chosen it will ask "perk == "something" " or something very similar.

While something then is either "intelligence", "strength" or "mage".

This script searches through all rpy files and replaces it with True.

Meaning that "if perk == "intelligence" " becomes "if True".

Again. This will literally change the games code. Once you apply this you would have to reinstall the game to undo.

I tried to first overwrite the if statements but this just really fucked up the game. Going for the throat is the easiest way.

It should be entirely version independent and also not break the code unless the dev deviates from how they used these perks until now.

Now, obviously, I can't predict that this will never cause an issue because I don't know what the dev will do in relation to such perk checks. But so far, having played this game with URM like 3 times, I can't think of any instance where this would bork the game. I tried to cover all possible syntax comparisons. But if the dev wants to they could still trick me. In the end its just a regex replacement.

How to use:

1. place the rpy file into the /game folder.
2. Run the game and load a save to be sure.
3. Immediately close the game again.
4. Remove BOTH the rpy file and the new rpyc file.
5. Run the game again. It is now modified.

Use at your own risk! I will provide 0 tech support!!! The code is readable in plain within the file.

Python:
init python:
    import os
    import re

    def modify_game_files():
        game_dir = os.path.join(config.basedir, "game")  # Get the game directory
        pattern = re.compile(r'not\s*perk == "([^"]+)"|perk == "([^"]+)"|perk != "([^"]+)"|perk is "([^"]+)"|perk is not "([^"]+)"')  # Match all forms of comparisons

        for root, _, files in os.walk(game_dir):
            for file in files:
                if file.endswith(".rpy"): # Only modify .rpy files
                    file_path = os.path.join(root, file)

                    with open(file_path, "r", encoding="utf-8") as f:
                        content = f.read()

                    # Replace the matched patterns with 'True'
                    new_content = pattern.sub('True', content)

                    with open(file_path, "w", encoding="utf-8") as f:
                        f.write(new_content)

    modify_game_files() # Run on game start

We can achieve the same result by renaming the script to '.py' instead of '.rpy', essentially using it as a python script instead of a ren'py file. This will eliminate the need to run the game, close it, run game again to activate cheat. You can simply run the cheat script only and have it modify the files. You can even modify the cheat script to return back to original after modifications. No need to reinstall, etc..

If all 3 variations get made into if = true, how would it differentiate to put run a restore one to split them back to the 3 separate ones?

Alternately, just make a backup copy of the one that is being modified.

it is funny how time flows are different in devs and players worlds.
for example in players world two months have passed already, while in devs world it has barely passed a month :HideThePain:

all kidding aside, considering we arent talking about some rookie dev here, it would be for the best to not give any promises, fixed dates and such things. a life is life, anytime something unexpected can happen and ruin all your plans. and it looks much worse if you have advertised them for one reason or another.
