Hey, if you play the dev's other game, AlwaysFan, you will see that there the NTS has a clear impact, both in terms of dialogue, character development and, even, in the different endings. I think it will be treated the same hereFar too early to tell, but I'm kinda worried the NTRS scenes are going to be treated like non-canon side content and nothing about them will really be acknowledged once the scene is over. I do hope they have some dialogue and story implications. Along with the "mc_like_sharing/real thrill" also influencing them. Wouldn't make or break the game for me at all, because I'd play it even if it didn't have sharing content, but it'd be nice to see.
As the one above me said, I doubt that with view on the other game. Should also get a good amount of sharing content, considering that the fanbase probably likes that already, even if it isn't as much a focus as in the last game.Far too early to tell, but I'm kinda worried the NTRS scenes are going to be treated like non-canon side content and nothing about them will really be acknowledged once the scene is over. Hey, for your first question, I've never played FFXVI and I only follow the Final Fantasy universe from far, far away, so no it's not coming from there. My inspiration comes more from Warhammer 40k, notably the story of the Eldar and Slaanesh, mixed with a bit of Mesopotamian mythology and some of the anime I've consumed over the past few yearsIs it me or is the premise taking inspiration from Final Fantasy XVI? Not saying that's a bad thing of course, just curious if the dev is a fan/likes it.
I'll put my thoughts in spoilers just in case for people that haven't played FFXVI.

I wonder if the MC will end up getting revered because he's able to use multiple schools of magic. Maybe when everyone sees him duel the Duchess they'll spread the word. Assuming the duel even happens of course.
This is also giving me slight Game of Thrones vibes, with how much cruelty seems to be there. I wonder if anything bad can happen to any of our characters. I've not played the dev's previous game so I don't know how dark it can get.
Speaking of which, Episode 1 felt huge, are all updates gonna be this big? I assume this is also going to take around 2 years to complete judging by the creation date of the previous game's thread and the creation of this one.
Now something else entirely, why does this game 19 5-star reviews but only 11 pages? The previous game also has 90 4+ star reviews but less than 100 pages. Do people just don't like discussing this? The discord ain't that big either, and the devs patreon feel like it would've had much more people signed up to it considering the quality of this.
Oh. Maybe FFXVI got inspired from 40k then. I wouldn't know because that universe is so daunting, it feels overwhelming even just by thinking about getting into it.Hey, for your first question, I've never played FFXVI and I only follow the Final Fantasy universe from far, far away, so no it's not coming from there. It has indeed served as inspiration for many works. Blizzard, for example, pumped 50% of its lore from there to create Starcraft. And yes, it's clear that the franchise is truly colossal, similar to Tolkien, but for those who love science fiction, it's a fascinating universe that's well worth a look.Oh. And funny thing is WH both fantasy and 40k are inspired by works of Herbert, Tolkien and Moorcock Games workshop basically copied lot of things from the latter. It has indeed served as inspiration for many works. when it's done.whats the timeframe for the next update
no one likes a smartass and i was asking because i like it its very well done and a good story so farwhen it's done.
You could have taken the time to look over AtemX's patreon and see the time spent between update on his previous game "AlwaysFan" or for announcements being made working on another game until first release was done. You presumably did none of those and went with the lazy path of plain asking. I can't say whether you even searched for the term "update" in this thread as there was one update progress post leaked where you could also gather some info on and extrapolate from that.no one likes a smartass and i was asking because i like it its very well done and a good story so far
you're just being a dumbass, anyone with more then 2 brain cell's could've figured out where to get the info he wanted ,but you just had to ask someone else to do it for you?no one likes a smartass and i was asking because i like it its very well done and a good story so far
There isn't many references on how much time will be needed for each update to appear for a few reasons. First this was the first release of this particular game, second it seems to me that comparing with the first game, AlwaysFan, not really sure I saw that many content in each update but I started playing it on the 2nd half of its development, and third this prologue/chapter 1/Episode 1 whatever you want to call it is very long with plenty of hours of content specially if you savor it slowly like I did haha.no one likes a smartass and i was asking because i like it its very well done and a good story so far
Don't worry about it. Sometimes I too have the urge to be a smart-ass. It's a mental disease, pity us!no one likes a smartass and i was asking because i like it its very well done and a good story so far
you gada teach them "new"guys to take some initiative and try to find some info out for themselves.Don't worry about it. Sometimes I too have the urge to be a smart-ass. It's a mental disease, pity us!
The other poster above have also given you great scientific answers to your question, but I'm just going to say that AtemX is a gourmet chef amongst countless burger-flippers on this site, with a proven track record. What I'm saying is that we can have confidence in the developer, even if they spend an unknown or just too much time on a particular update for some unforeseeable reason. "When it's done", like the person above said, but I don't think we even want it any earlier.
I'm glad we're here to follow the progress together though.![]()
