i officially hate this. maybe i'm not smart enough to figure out how to load the save files maybe i've become spoiled with not having to do any actual work. but i swear i did everything the way it said and i still cant get chapter 2 to work. i've been trying for half an hour saving renaming copy pasting its to the point i no longer care about playing the second chapter.

Once you have the save renamed properly and moved to the save folder start a new game in chapter 2 and you should have the option to get the data from your save.

I got hung up for a bit because I kept looking for the save in the "Load Game" directory, but it won't show up there.

That's understandable. The "default" save should've been included in the game to prevent that.

You'll need the save linked at the bottom of this post for the default:

Before you play, here are a few things you need to do first. If you want to use your previous save from Chapter 1, you have to update the script.rpa in your Chapter 1 folder and load your old save file (if you have one) then save a new one.

Make sure to follow the instruction here:

You have to SAVE it AFTER you click. Then make sure you know which file was saved, rename it to ‘chapter-1-LT1.save’, and copy-paste it into your game’s ‘save’ folder. After that, start the game and try loading your saved file.

Things you need to download:

Default Save File (If you want to use the default story/Main Path, save it into your saves folder)

Updates for Chapter I (If you want to use your Save File)
Sidenote: Did you make sure to update the Chapter I files before making your own save?

It's an absolute mess of a system. So many games have multiple chapters, having to go back to the old game and override files, manually copy and rename saves and then face renpy throwing exceptions is terrible

On Android, has anyone else had or is having trouble starting this chapter 2? Because I've tried everything and I couldn't. I've already moved the files to the saves folder there. I've already downloaded this default file and then moved it there. I've done everything and still can't play this one. I've never had problems transferring progress like I'm having with this game, how annoying. What would it cost for this developer to just simplify things by putting at the beginning of the game some questions related to the routes we're on just so we don't have to keep moving files? This is something very simple and avoids the player getting stressed with this moving/copying files and it not working.

Did you try going into the settings and turning on "skip transitions"? It should skip any of the pauses and such
I always have them disabled, even in VNs that try to remove the option I do it in URM.

If you want an example, go to the scene with the options for setting the "mother's" name for the narrator and you'll see What I mean in the following conversation.
Every time there is a perspective change there is a weird pause and then an auto-forward.

Really annoying clicking and then having it automatically forward causing you to skip through the next line of dialogue because you also clicked again like you normally would to advance the dialogue.

So, is there going to be a point where Pauline and Hannah become LI options or is the game shipping them off to somewhere else so they can never be options? Based on the story so far and music options I have a feeling something bad is about to happen to one or both of them and it's annoying.

Also the whole save transfer stuff is obnoxious, dev really needs to workout a normal import system.

Dev, or anyone else that may know, can I pursue anyone early on or should I be cautious with my choices? Ideally, I would like to pursue a Pauline and/or Eula path, but if the consequences aren't too negative I would like to see where things go with some of the other LI's. If the consequences are too severe thought, I'll just build my points with Pauline and Eula.

Edit: I'm playing chapter 2 with the default save for context. I did play chapter one but I couldn't figure out how to transfer my save properly so chapter 2 default is my starting point.

Right now, the game’s choices mainly focus on helping the MC build relationships or friendships with other characters. If you want to know more about someone, you’ll need to get closer to them or earn Relationship Points (RP). The more RP you have with a certain character, the stronger your bond will be.

By the end of the game, if you’ve earned enough RP, you’ll start gaining Love Points (LP) for specific characters. These will determine your final love interests. Before that, you’ll get to make some important choices. If you decide not to pursue a girl, you won’t gain Love Points from her. But if you choose to go after her, she can become your partner or one of your partners by the end of the story.

For Katherine and Cassidy, it’s fine if you start off with low RP. You’ll still have chances to catch up as the story continues.

Some characters can also get Neglect Points, which happen when you ignore them too much. Ignoring a girl basically means you’re not interested, right? So there’s a chance she might end up with someone else. Still, you’ll have the option to either let her be happy with another man or stay single, especially if you’re not into that kind of situation.

Confirmed characters who aren’t love interests are Jessica, Lily, and Jennifer. They each have their own stories, but you can skip them if you’re not interested in their side plots.

About the save files, it’s a bit messy, I’ll admit, but I already updated Chapter 1 and released Chapter 2. In Chapter 2, I included the default save file inside the package, so you don’t need to download anything separately.

If you’re using a save file from Chapter 1, you can still load it manually. For example, if the file name is 2-2-LT1.save, you just need to load it at Page 2, Block 2. I mean, you don't have to rename it..

For Mac users, it’s a bit more complicated, but I’ve added step-by-step instructions on how to do it.

One more thing: Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 have different screen sizes, which is why I had to build Chapter 2 separately as I have to remake chapter 1 slowly. But don’t worry, you can still use your Chapter 1 save file to continue your progress in Chapter 2.
