That's what i was talking about, hiring people complicates everything. They're often such unreliable, lazy bastards that can't promise a thing in their life, and cooperation with good working chemistry is not easy. That's why i was also against artstyle "upgrade" with another artist, as was discussed in the past. Well, at least a programmer is way less risky than an artist quitting or rising demands.
Hiring a Programmer also such a pain in the ass. They mess up your codes and flowchart after a while your codes turn into spagetti and tie your hands to add new things. I mean look at TF2 ( Team Fortress 2 ) They can't add new things or remove, they just stuck in their place. Artstyle upgrade kind more safe i think but end of the day working with a freelancer always a trouble they are lazy as fuck especially the artists. They never do what u asked for and they're always late ( generally i mean, if u're a freelancer artist and offended then do better work, work steady and change the stereotype )
Caution bro, you will trigger fangirls like Ferghus, who don't allow people to do any single criticism to Crow lol, when Crow himself literally said previously that people are allowed to criticize him or not agree with his decisions sometimes, which on this this case is the AI stuff that will not worth the lost trust of people on the long run and losing patreon subscriptions, i'm not saying that he is a scammer, but his actions are starting to create a bad precedent.
You're really sure about that? People would then nag him about a release date, so it would make no difference. (And yes, that's happening in other threads here. "When update?" "When it's ready." "But when ready?" and so on.)
When you promise something with a lot of certainty and don't deliver, it creates mistrust and maybe even scamming(not saying that crow is doing that, but it can create the sentiment on some people), while just not revealing the release date can avoid a lot of negative stuff and not have a deadline since also you didn't even promise to someone at first place, fulfilling a promise that you did make is just a question of responsibility and honesty.
I agree with u, when promise a deadline it just make u to carry more responsiblities. It increase the hype yes but most of devs crush under those promises and can't satisfy the expectations. I would prefer a humble aproach and surprise the community with more innovations. Actually u shouldn't even talk about some innovations, let them explore by themself and talk about it. This is how u increase the hype. Also We're whining about late delivery but we didn't even talk about his life. Should we worry about him? Maybe something gone wrong about his life or health?
