can we play pure lesbian and dominate some of female characters
Pure lesbian? No. At the very least, the heroine will be attracted to men (descriptions of this will be by default). It's necessary for the plot or a lot of stuff just won't work. So either hetero or bi, but not 100% lesbian.

But you can avoid sexual contact with men (despite being attracted to them) and only open scenes with women - that's possible. However, I warned about this right away, there won't be many female-female-only scenes. But still, there are, and there will be more of them.

Oof. That was pretty grueling, all in all. I can only imagine what it was like to write it, haha. Furthermore, for me it probably would be a far different playthrough if certain companions didn't escape in the last chapter, so I'll probably explore that later.

That said, is there any flex in regards to the end conditions of the chapter? Seems like a shame for the fellow to potentially lose his two-step, but the alternatives are worse. The ending blurb of text was a bit cryptic, signaling that I did save him, but fucked up somewhere and will have to... talk things out? Unclear.

The barrage of new characters for the rescue is interesting, but if I'm being honest, kind of lost on me. At that point I cared fairly little about them, beyond the question of 'are they a threat'. It had me pining for the rest of the cast, which I suppose was the point. Tone wise, it also felt slightly odd that the survivor origin was relatively mellow with all the slave speech. Even the passing thought of her sister had her gasping and wailing with nightmares in the past, and that was probably only weeks ago at most, timeline wise.

Another curiosity is how subdued the protagonist behaved in general, especially near the conclusion. I found myself asking 'is this the same woman that punched leaping murder lizards out of the air, and dragged her friend through the waters and waves to a distant island with nothing more than grit and determination'?

Yuti remains awesome, but now more than ever it feels like the heroine would ask for fighting lessons on the sly. Or point blank ask Yuti what she has to do to earn a proper fucking from the big guy. Or both.

Reasons being: Survivors family was killed, her older sister enslaved. She nearly gets her teeth knocked out / permanently disfigured by a hired street tough. She's nearly killed and eaten by a horde of horrible nom goblins. She's 'rescued' and immediately sidelined, unable to do anything but watch events unfold. So it goes.

There's a constant theme of being powerless for this gal, regardless the scale of her accomplishments.

It's not all doom and gloom, though. I mean, she did survive. And better yet, being reunited with the troupe doesn't seem all that far away. (Though how they are going to recover from this loss should prove interesting to discover, too.)

Erm... I went for a walk to the south-west of the hunters' camp and I'm quickly came across the following error message: "Error: <>: bad conditional expression in <> clause (#1): ra2251 is not defined". It doesn't look too serious, but what's the cause? Some kind of bug, maybe?+? [^^]

Love v1.7! It was worth the wait!

I just have a Question: I don't know how to Spoiler so Don't read further... Can we save the leg?
I doubt that very much, failking00! Unless your Selene has some powerful healing magic at her disposal, isn't it?&? And that would surprise me even more, because I've never had the impression that Inner Empire had class mechanics for the M.C. (as far as magic is concerned, in any cases) comparable to classic RPG games like Baldur's Gate/N.W.N./Icwd.D./Pil.of.Etny. etc... So I'm afraid your answer is certainly: nope!&!

Yes, thank you, I've already been informed. The good sign, it's the only thing that has been reported to me. Here's my response from Patreon (to avoid writing the same thing twice):

Oh, thank you so much. There is a missing $ sign before the variable, because of which the game can't recognize that it is a variable. The variable itself in that passage is responsible for the option that you didn't visit that place while on the island. It's not a critical bug (just doesn't display the description correctly), so don't worry - you can continue playing.

Just in case, there should just be this description standing there (well, in case you were wondering):

"There's sort of a slope down to a little beach. This is the waters of that very lake I've struck in the middle of for two days. But there's some sort of passage between the hills, filled with water, like a waterway. Hmm... A water branch from the lake? Funny. In those past two days, I never discovered this place before."

About Survivor's origin and her attitude towards slavery. There are slaves in Yardanar, too. And guess which one is the majority? Valateans. Yes, in Yardanar (and the Alliance of Seven) slavery is more lenient, and patriarchally domestic, slaves are more often the property of the clan rather than individuals as in the Republic. But slavery is slavery. And Survivor has lived with that thought all her life.

She is not frightened by slavery as such. She might not mind having a couple of slaves of her own, who knows? But she definitely doesn't want to end up in it. Or her sister to be in it. So if you were expecting her to speak out passionately against slavery per se... Well, that view, even if known in this society, is not taken seriously by anyone.

Curious fact. In ancient Rome, the idea that all people are born equal and slavery, as it turns out, is wrong - was known. Mostly among Roman lawyers, who used this idea as a curious exercise for the mind. As something abstract, amusing, and irrelevant to the real world. Roman legions, meanwhile, filled the markets with slaves, and citizens were far more concerned with the price of those slaves than with any "abstract" questions.

I'm gonna disagree with Laughinfox when it comes to the hunters. Initially I only had eyes for the big one (lol) and couldn't wait to be reuinited with the acting troup but sitting down & interacting with them felt like a nice change of pace & they seemed pretty interesting despite the small amount of time we've got to spend with them so far. I also apreciated being able to spend more time with Yuturna and chatting with him as he becomes less silent.

Well, Yuturna is used to Selene by now. So yeah, starting to talk to her more.

Hm. Hokay. Wasn't thinking she'd go all in on the abolitionist angle (and she seems mostly too clever to start picking fights surrounded by able-bodied men and pointy objects), but she seemed fairly uncomfortable around soldiers and that topic in the past. So in that regard going from guarded and tough to a flighty, flirty 'oh my, so many men' mentality seemed a bit... off.

I guess my line of thinking was if anybody would be more inclined to be a bit sympathetic to a slaves plight, it'd probably be the Survivor, given their circumstances. The Survivor herself seems to be on a bit of a journey of personal growth and potentially kicking the dirt on societal norms here and there, to boot.

But yeah, at the end of the day, living is the larger concern, most likely.

Digging the occasional sillyness, such as the protagonist taking a wheeze on the Jumpers remains and Yuturna utterly at a loss with what to do with her bold proclamation. She'll wear him down yet. (Yuti and Iolanta threesome when?)

It did strike me odd that while there were a few comments about her being 'fortunate' to survive, or not cursed by the gods, not even Yuturna noted that the apprentice troupe actress had managed to carry and support a fully grown man a head taller or more's dead weight here and there, drag him up the mountain top, swim pretty much everywhere, etc.

Or the only way to for her to recount the events that happened were as a scatter brained goofball that greatly diminished the impact. You'd think she'd flex those actor muscles to enthrall a potential audience a bit, haha.

All in all, a lovely chapter, and well worth the wait.

...Although it looks like I missed an interaction with Chat somewhere. I received permission to play from the Master, but didn't see an option to follow through - I was figuring that was a next time on dragon ball z sort of yarn. Time to backtrack.
