He is still remastering the 1st part. For example, makes languages. The last 2 were Slovenian and Finnish ))
What the deuce!!! Surely it would make more sense to maybe do an extra language, then work on the game a bit, then more languages then work on the game a bit more.

In a normal day, IoM gets 3 to 4 update in a year, which makes 3 to 4 months for every update. When you add these bullshits, calculate approximate time. So now it is taking forever.

What you said (march 2024 for a release) is neither a fact nor an official post from the dev, therefore it is NOT reality...
The fact an update (or even two) to take 5 months to develop (the two last ones) does not mean necessarily the next one to take the same amount of time.
It only depends on the content the dev chooses to put in it : nothing else.
My reply to you just means neither you nor me know precisely enough the dev's schedule and progression to be able to give an answer as precise you did that can be reliable enough.
That's why the only honest reply possible to peopkle asking for news about next update is : we do not know yet...
If you added something like "maybe" or "if the dev does same amount of content, maybe", or any other mean showing it is your speculation, I would have said nothing...
Here such post can be thought as a fact which is not...
As a dev yourself, do you like other people knowing nothing about your progression but speaking on your behalf about your deadlines ?

It's no brainer. This game is developing so slow that even AWAM can be considered quicker. 4 months for an update is a usual developing time for IoM normally.
Now Dev is focusing on remastering entire game with HQ graphics and adding AI translator for every language instead of creating new contents. You can approximately add 2 3 months for this too. so I put 6 7 months after the last update. If it will make you feel better you can consider it February or late January.
Dev is slow as fuck, and he is now "abandoning" the creating of new contents for a while (or making it minimum as possible) to pursue other side non relevant things. and this is done purposely. This type of behaviour is known as milking and doing nothing. You can see lots of examples of this in games, not just in adult games. Adding new weapon / character skins without actually improving anything or add anything new.
it doesn't even say it started developing of v0.0.9 you can guess rest.
If everyone consider "an update" usually contains "new content and stuff" - and I am sure they consider like that - that update won't come anytime soon.
But if you consider remastering the game graphics as an update, yes maybe you can play v.0.0.9 that doesn't have any new content besides graphics at a much sooner.

Yes, work on V0.09 has not yet started : Then, do you think you are reliable when telling which month next year the work on it can be finished ? I would not be surprised the dev himself does not know but YOU think "march 2024" is reliable enough?
When telling "march 2024" only, it can be seen as news reliable enough and people may think it as solid news, which it is not.

The dev chooses the direction of his game and the features to put in : no one else.
The subscribers are then free to continue to give money or stop it.
Milking means deceiving : in other words give the hope to have something (for example : new content) while doing something else (for example : remastering)... Milking is scam...If you think that, can you prove it ?
I read all Patreon posts from the dev and I follow his Discord channel, according to me, this dev never did that (deceiving). When he decided to start the remastering, he posted his schedule on Patreon, no subscriber can argue he was fooled or blame the dev he did not know...
For this remastering/translation, subscribers are split in groups that had a reaction out of three on Patreon:
- Be happy with that. Ok...
- Disagree but not to the point to unsubscribe. * raise hand *... I belong to this group : 2 to 4 months to wait until starting the work on new chapter is not big deal for me.
- Disagree to the point to leave. They are free to come back later or not when the dev will be be back on working on new content
When a game is not entertaining me enough or if I lose faith in a dev, I leave. Period.
Complain here that the dev is milking his subscribers, when he always tells honestly what he is doing, is just pouting and whining like an immature teen because you don't have what YOU want. That's why I speak this harsh.
Therefore, your example (adding skins and so on like in MMO games) is not relevant for our situation here.
Teens (I mean people between 10 - 16 years old) MUST be protected to prevent them becoming addict because they do not have the necessary emotional distance when they play such games as you refer to.
It is NOT the fault of devs if some adults do not have this distance and especially this one who always honestly told on what he will work.

In case you consider the dev to be too slow, if YOU can do better or YOU have a mean to make the game faster while respecting game content (dev is game leader), feel free to share them, I am curious...

When you say an update, if you mean lots of contents for the game like significant progress on story, lots of new sex scenes for main character or other new hot scenes, you can consider it little to no even there will be a update soon.
But some people consider an update also when graphics upgraded and some AI language tool implemented without little to no new contents like new scenes etc.
So you should ask yourself what kind of update are you talking about
