Hello, wizards and witches!
Another 10-day development cycle has come to an end, which means it’s time to share the latest news about the development of Innocent Witches!
Let’s start, as always, with an art preview (available in the next post).
This artwork depicts a familiar scene—the hallway in front of the Slytherin common room. However, this time, the atmosphere is tense—Malfoy seems to be showing his true serpent nature. He and Daphne stand facing each other, wands raised as if preparing for a duel.
Behind Daphne, Nola lies unconscious on the floor. What happened to her? Was it an accident or the result of a spell?
Off to the side, near the stairs, stands Marcus. He clearly doesn’t understand what’s going on and is simply observing the unfolding conflict. Perhaps he’s trying to piece together the events or waiting for the right moment to step in…
Now, on to the main news!
The past ten days of development, like the previous cycle, were entirely focused on integrating content into the second chapter of the second act. At this point, the entire storyline of the second chapter has been successfully added to the game, including most of the accompanying artwork.
Some art elements are still in progress since the initial working plan for the art covered two chapters at once. However, this also means that a part of the artwork for the third chapter is already finished. Additionally, an edited version of the English text has been implemented into the game.
The third chapter of the second act is now in its final stage of preparation. Out of 26 main actions, 23 are complete, and the remaining 3 are currently being written.
The integration of this chapter into the code will begin immediately after the text is finalized. At the same time, the remaining artwork will be completed and prepared for insertion.
During this period, the translation and editing of the English text will also take place, after which it will be added to the game automatically using the dialogue replacement system.
We have also been working on several tasks from the backlog. One notable addition is the inclusion of an open-robe pose with arms spread wide, making the process of revealing the outfit hidden by the robe (or the lack thereof >

) more visually striking.
This pose has been added for all prefects, and in the near future, we plan to integrate it into existing scenes where a prefect opens their robe in front of the player.
Another small but flavorful addition is the update to Hermione’s miniatures, which can be encountered when visiting the dormitories. She can now be seen in three new alluring poses.
Additionally, the code governing these encounters has been updated, making them occur more frequently and ensuring these moments are more noticeable and memorable.
Finally, we have continued analyzing and planning improvements to key game mechanics. Last time, we conducted a poll about the Galleon earning system and whether it is necessary in the game.
According to the results, most players find the system useful but prefer more interactive ways to earn Galleons. Thank you for your feedback and comments—they will be taken into account when developing concrete plans for improving this mechanic!
That’s all for today, friends! We truly appreciate your continued support and your contributions to the game through donations and feedback. Thank you so much!
We’ll see you again very soon with the next development update. Until then, take care and enjoy life!
Peace to everyone! ✌
Yours,
And now, a poll!
This time, we’d like to hear your thoughts on the character stats system in the game, such as brutality or perception. Recently, this mechanic has been rarely used in new events because the process of leveling up stats is quite repetitive, requiring the same actions over and over again. This isn’t necessarily a downside, as it all depends on player preferences.
So, we’d love to hear your opinion! Do you find the current character stats system interesting? Do you like how the leveling process works? Would you like to see more stat checks in dialogues, when interacting with objects in locations, and in other mechanics?
Let us know by voting or leaving a comment below. Thank you!
1. The current system and its leveling in the game fully satisfy me.
2. Stats work fine overall, but I’d like to see more stat checks in game events with different outcomes.
3. The current system is boring; I don’t like it. I want more interactive ways to level up the stats.
4. I don’t think the stat system is necessary for this game; dialogue and action choices are enough.
5. I just want to see the poll results.
