Is it recommended that you restart from the beginning?
For some reason I can't get the old saves to work from v. 0.0033 (and I've been following the game since v. 0.0024 when I had to DL it from another site that took almost a whole day to download). When I load my old saves it takes me back to the main menu- and I had already unlocked everything up to the bath scene with Kira, so I'm wondering if there's a patch or something to update my old save with the newest version.

Don't feel stupid, I have the same question^^ I checked the blog etc., but the dev did not make a changelog or update post.

A changelog is shown when opening the game. There are some bugfixes and a new Vicky scene.
