What is the point of removing the hints? I really don't get it, why not make a toggle instead & let players choose for themselves if they want them or not?
I'm actually surprised that people have started reading the changelogs. :HideThePain:

But since I'm already at 2025, I don't mind duplicating what I posted last year.

the hints in the answers were only about fetishes and never about making the right choices that can affect the ending.
I would also like to add that there has never been a hint system and I have to dig into the code to add it.

Like KN said, they were a mistake and wanted to remove them.

Thanks for the reply, I think it's not clear what I mean tho: I do try to understand why you feel the need to remove them. I genuinely do not get what the issue is with letting people know in advance what kind of sexual content characters entail, especially when it might be stuff people detest, having those hints around seems like a logical and smart choice.
When you say it was a mistake to add them that seems quite baffling to me so I'd like to try and understand where you are coming from.

My intention wasn't and isn't to shit on your choice, your game or, least of all, yourself. I quite like your game, it's very solid and enjoyable all around.

Personally I do like the hints cuz it means I don't need to hyper focus while reading and can just chill while playing, but that doesn't mean I suddenly hate the game if that isn't the case anymore. ^^

First, in my opinion it's obvious from Jade's thoughts that if she chooses to reject the love interest, there will be no continuation. Secondly, I just figured that my players are mature and intelligent people, for the most part, if they are still playing, they don't need these hints.

I see, thanks for the explanation, even if I don't really see the point in removing them retroactively, to be perfectly honest, it'd be more of a reason for not bothering with adding them in the first place. Could have stuck with it, but removing them is still totally fair as well. :)

Just be careful that you don't fall into the trap that some authors (you are both an author and a developer) do, which is when they (the author) are so intimately familiar with the characters that they (the author) instantly understand the motivations, desires, etc. of the characters - and forget that the reader may not, because they don't have that same intimate knowledge.

And that's not to say that all things should be revealed at the same time - rather, it's to make sure that when a reader reaches a certain point in a story, they have enough background so that they understand a character's thought process at that point in time - this is especially important in stories told in first-person, like this one.

Second, YES, this is not AND NEVER WAS a kinetic novel as many people think and will have multiple endings, one of which will be canon. I have never said otherwise to rebuke me for that.
wasnt trying to sound all complainy, i make my complaints on whatever platform i support devs on if i support them. here i do my best to act like a grateful freeloader should act regardless wether i am a paying supporter or not.

personally when i play these vns with choices, i need to know exactly what the consequences of those choices are, some devs are all like "but its fun if you dont know whats gonna happen" and/or "but you can play it again and make different choices" and personally i give those games a wide berth if they have no walkthrough cause i simply dont have the patience for them, i understand this is not a game with complicated choices but i still liked the hints telling me whats behind them.

My congratulations to Kind Nightmares for the improvements in the scenes, the animations look spectacular, it's great to see how you've improved since the first chapter, all that's left is to see a great fight scene with Jade.

I think this has become the best chapter so far and I'm hoping it continues to improve in the following chapters, Happy New Year and my best wishes. <3

PS: Very nice reference to Eruption Imminent. :LOL:
