I for one LOVED the unexpected joke endings.

For one because it is "something different" than what usually is done.
And on top of that because I grew up with Sierra Adventures where death screens could be a clown descending in a blimp and hacking you into tasty little pieces with an axe.

If you truly want to see bad humor in action you'd need to look elsewhere.

May I suggest the dude that renders scenes in sims 4 and maintains 5 "games" at once?
I hear he hails from russia and is ... not very versed in writing english.

Same. The Space Quest series had a ton of these (just do a YouTube search for "Space Quest deaths," and you'll be sure to find some). In Hero's Quest/Quest for Glory, you could die from using a lock-pick to pick your nose.

Honestly, if the joke endings really are that bad, then when you realize you're on a joke ending just stop. Or if their existence at all is a deal breaker, then just don't play the game.

It's like anything, if there's a part of the game you absolutely cant stand you either avoid it (by not going down the route that leads to it) or just don't play the game.

It's just like the many people who posted in the thread bitching that it's a gender swapping tf game, since that's a deal breaker for them.

I want to say I switch to the blue "dev notes" text whenever I did one of those endings, but it's been a while, so I don't really recall.

Anyway, like I said, I'll probably add a setting to make that sort of thing optional for those who feel that gags ruin the immersion more than a sudden end-of-content message. No biggie.

Don't worry, you didn't ruin the game. That's my job. ;)
it would be cool if they will gonna be optional.

According to official studies in the US 3.5 % of the population is Lesbian, Gay or Bisexual.

Whether you personally like it or not, gay of any kind are in the minority.
You're completely ignoring that a large number of straight men fantasize about sex between women, and form a large target audience for such content that far outstrips the number of actual lesbians in a given population. This is in fact so common that it has been regularly featured in mainstream porn from virtually the beginning. The same is also true for straight women who fantasize about sex between men, for example straight women both produce and consume the vast majority of m/m slash fanfiction.

Still, that is completely besides the point as I said already. The point is that for the players of a game with a viewpoint main character, the defining factor is who the NPC partners are. It doesn't matter if the viewpoint character is male or female, it matters who they're put in the position of imaginary sexual activity with. Those who are not sexually interested in men will not enjoy being put in the vicarious position of a character having sex with men, period. The players will naturally want to play content featuring their player character doing the kinds of sexual things they enjoy with characters they find attractive. If the player is not attracted to men, they won't want to play through vicarious sex with a man. No amount of screeching about it being technically heterosexual because the player character is female will change that.

Thus, if a game features little if any activity with the player's preferred sex, and pushes them towards activity with the sex they do not desire, it's not going to be an enjoyable experience for them and they need to know that going in. That's what content tags and warnings are all about, to allow people to filter out content that they won't care for and to more easily find what they do want. Nobody has time to try every single game to find out if its content matches their preferences, and nor should they have to wade through content that they find personally disgusting because they didn't know to avoid it.

How can this be even remotely difficult to understand? Give people the proper information they need from the start to know whether or not a game is right for them, this is not at all an unreasonable thing to expect.

Ah, took me a while to figure out what this was in regards to...guess that referencing a post from last year?

Anyway, to clarify: I've only ever posted this game on TFGS where the target audience have a pretty good idea of what to expect from the database tags and when I explained which games were my influences. Any content warnings geared toward the F95zone crowd (such as "Warning: This game focuses on heterosexual sexual content") is probably more the responsibility of the people who share the games here. I know the entire male-to-female switch hit a some of people by surprise here. On TFGS, spelling that out would have just been stating the obvious.
Your game is out there now, it's your responsibility to provide adequate information to potential players as to what they can expect in terms of content. If you do not, you cannot be surprised if people end up feeling like they've been fed a bait and switch and react accordingly.

Dear god, this shit is starting up again.

The tags ARE CORRECT FOR THE GAME. Just because the game (currently) focuses on a sexual pairing you don't prefer (M/F) doesn't change the fact that there is content you want in a smaller percentage (F/F). If there's even 1 scene in the game that qualifies for a specific tag, then that tag should be included.

If you desperately want to know the exact ratio of scenes for your preferred tag, maybe search the thread / ask about that before you download a game that pisses you off so much to go on a weeks (months?) long complaint fest.

And no, the author / developer of a game has no requirement to spread information across every site their game is posted on (even if they're active on that forum). On this site (IIRC) they'd need to request ownership of the thread, and they may not want to do that. Updating the first post is then entirely on this site's mods.

What this feels like is that you downloaded the game based on only the fact that 1 tag (lesbian) matched you're desires, and have made it your mission to bitch about the fact that lesbian isn't the focus. There isn't a "straight sex" tag here, so if you need one so much, complain to the site developers / mods. Maybe look at the links in the first post for things like a patreon (or whatever other site) for more info if the first post doesn't have enough info for you to determine if one of the most common types of sexual content (M/F sex) is in the game (which you seem to hate).

And now just tell me how I was "completely ignoring" the point when you were whining about gay being only a minority and I provided official data.
Is it because I did not predict that you did not mean actual gay people but also people who fantasize about gay sex as well?

If you'd want actual percentages provided alongside each tag about how much of the content is in conjunction with that tag you run into multiple problems on top while trying to run from one.
The most prominent is the game length.
Another is the developers time "wasted" by doing stuff the vast majority of players do not need.
Another one is "peer pressure" upon the dev from trolls like you to raise the percentage of a certain kink.

Sit down and enjoy the game.
Or don't and take care that the door does not hit you on your way out.

But for all that is (un-)holy STFU.

I do not understand the problem Maybe just read the description of the game maybe some people are offended by the game or question your sexual orientation But that's no reason to dump the game as trash here's a tip if you don't like the game because of male to female THEN DON'T PLAY IT does sex bother you? THEN DON'T PLAY IT but stop crying on a porn game site the game has the tags it needs I apologize for my bad english

Dev is currently burnt out. Don't poke the hive, it might break and then the honey is all gone.
I made the call to stop working on Interns before it evolved into complete burnout—I’ve experienced that in the past, and I consider that a different thing than what I’m currently, because I know the real thing kills all motivation completely dead.

Instead, I’ve “given myself permission” to just explore whatever I’m feeling passionate about in the moment, in the hopes that I won’t completely lose my desire to create. So far, that’s been working, and I’ve been really “productive”…just not in a way that benefits Interns.

I’ve been having a lot of fun exploring the potential of AI in regards to art, writing, and coding assistance, and I’ve been dipping my toe back into game development in the form of creating game mods.

I’ve been making a bunch of stuff for X-Change Life that I feel will make the game better cater towards my play style, and I’ve been able to help out in a somewhat official capacity with providing some art for the base game as well.

I’m not quite sure if, or when, I’ll pick up Interns again. As I tried to touch on in my blog, the trick to the whole thing seems to be finding a way to make development work for me; if I feel like it’s just a stressful obligation, it isn’t fun to work on. In the case of making mods, each mechanic I add to the game is something that I can experience in my next play-through, so it’s a better pay-off. So, essentially, I’d need to find a way to make Interns something that I can play and enjoy, in spite of being the creator. Sadly, I’m not quite sure how to pull that off.

I've looked into XCL as well and while I like what some people are doing with it with mods, I feel the realporn is holding it back and limiting what can be done with the game.

Yes, that's a real issue with it. The dev is hoping AI will get to a point where videos will be able to be converted to show different characters, but I think that tech is still (at least) a few years off.

I still want to look into it a bit in the future, to see if I can do things like animation in Honey Select and do an AI pass like a filter to make it look a little less like low-poly models. I'm already way behind the curve in Stable Diffusion, though; things move faster than I can keep up.

take your time
do what you think is right for you
Getting a burnout here would be the wrong approach
I don't think anyone would want that
Then I'll take a look at x life

Am I the only one who can't get suntan lotion? 0.342 android version. I tried both the normal start and the monogamous-virgin-teetotaler start, but in neither cause did Cynthia bring me the lotion. Poor PC gets burned at beach/pool jobs and visits all the time.

It has been quite a long time since I last played this, but from what little I remember sun block was an option that you had at the same time as you were choosing which perfume you were going to wear each morning while in effect preparing for the day, this was way back when the game stopped just as the owner and his party arrived at the island though, so it could have changed quite a bit since then.
