Would Melissa really form an attachment to a one-night stand that she hasn't bothered searching for in 20+ years?

I'm not sure Mel and John were a one-night stand, they seemed overly affectionate while on the pier and he is still the father of her daughter.
Not sure I would be happy with one of my friends dating the mother of my children in either case, especially if the mother had abandoned me to raise the kid alone.

It could be that Mel gets a bit pissed off about Emily hooking up with her babydaddy but not enough to actually forbid them to hook up, but that might be the push she needs to make a move on MC rather than worrying about what Emily would think about it. It could be that Emily hooking up with John is the specific event that has to happen to open the Mel path.
In that case the path to Mel would be pretty narrow, you'd have to helping Erynn so friendly with her but not in a relationship (no matter how pissed she is with Emily she's not going to try and steal her daughter's boyfriend) and you can't have gone with Mommy Brooke over John when Emily asked.

Despite the fact that she knows they aren't doing anything wrong, i'm sure it still hurts to see her dream guy hooking up with her BFF.

I don't see any reason to believe that, she's changed her plans more than once.
You can believe whatever you want, idc, I plan on believing the dev, when she said their is a melissa route still planned earlier this year, and that she is in the main Li's list that wont change. Not even Val, or gabi is on that list of main girls. So believe whatever you want.

this right here so many doubt things Nyx says cause Nyx likes to troll / mess with us. While that may be true I have no reason not to believe a dev even if it was them messing with us or change things from time to time it's a more reliable source.

There is a certain ick factor to sleeping with a boy she probs helped raise its not incest but it's bumping that door. That being said, its a video game so I see both sides I reckon

never even thought about it like that i'm just not attracted to Mel so she was always off the table for me expect for sake of seeing her content.

Did you even check? I made a quick search and found already FOUR ports for this game only here on F95zone. And I bet there are even more available from other porters, too.

As far as i know, there is at least one person dying in the game, so yes, dead game.
When I check, I wait a few days and only for last update. I went back from the last page to about 15 pages. So yes I checked..
