IIRC (been a while)...other than the flashback...neither do we see any relevent backstory regarding Erynn and the MC either....other than that event...
A lot more of Erynn's backstory with the MC is addressed outside the flashback than in it. For Lexi, all we get to see are the flashbacks for any hint at her backstory.

So they are weighted far heavier for Lexi than Erynn. Have to do more with a lot less.

i'm not native either.
I know, it's obvious. But that's all the more reason not to behave like that. Especially as the sentence was absolutely understandable. You know, it's a sign of greatness to admit your own mistakes instead of looking for excuses to blame the other person. Just saying.

Because she's a kind person who doesn't want to see an innocent kid be miserable. She doesn't need to have a romantic interest in a little kid to do that for him. In fact, it'd be really weird if had such an interest at that time. That's why she wasn't happy that he stole her first kiss.

Alexis is a romantic. She thought it was adorable how the MC gave Erynn a flower, and she wished that someday she could have a guy bring her flowers. So when she sits next to a cute guy on an airplane several years later, and learns that he's that very same little boy now grown up, it's like she's living in a Hallmark movie. Now there's potential for that first kiss to become a sweet romantic story about how she met the one who would become her true love. Maybe this could be the start of a whirlwind romance where he bring her flowers and becomes the man she always dreamed of. All she has to do now is not screw it up.

The End.
The thing is, they were not little.
  • The MC is 3 years younger than Erynn; that is confirmed.
  • In the flashback Erynn was 16, which is confirmed;
  • Thus the MC is 13 years old.
To continue the math on Lexi's age:
  • Five years later, MC would be 18 and Erynn 21.
  • At the beach party with Lexi, Erynn, and Iris, if you are dating Lexi and choose to marry her both discuss it. She says at least 3 years, in which MC says he'd be 21 which confirms MCs age again. MC suggests 10 years to which Lexi says she'd be 30 years old. Thus she's 20.
  • Lexi, 5 years ago in teh flashback would therefore be 15 years old at the time.
Erynn, if you stayed at her place and slept in her bed, indicates she wanted to answer his (flashback) question with the inference she was going to have accepted. So that means a 13 and 16 year old liked each other, but yet a 15 year old Lexi is too little to have an interest? I don't think that adds up.

I'm not saying she did have romantic. I'm saying it's possible she could have, based on some of her actions at the flashback. In addition other tidbits from when you hear Lexi retell her side of the flashback. And then in her argument with Erynn she argues in her mind (doesn't say) that things were different than Erynn remembers. What was different? Dont' know, it's never said.

So we get to speculate. :coffee:

After Erryn, my new favorite storyline is Elena. Elena learning to put herself first as opposed to her brothers and Mckayla will be very satisfying if it's done right.
I agree with your post, i think it's commendable how protective she is of her friends and keeps putting them ahead of herself and i'm waiting to see how that story will unfold.

But why do you say Mckayla instead of Layla? It's not the first time i see it...

I have no idea I guess I subconsciously think that she looks like more of a mckayla. Probably the hairstyle lolz

Are there any long term positives that come out of not helping Erynn when she gets slapped by Ethan? I can't bring myself to abandon her like that on any route. It just seems like a nuclear option on MC's love life except for...Tori and possibly Nikki/Cara.

No.

It was meant to lead into a different storyline (the one that gave the game it's corruption tag) but that storyline has been abandoned.

Thanks, that makes sense. I was trying to follow where it might have led with a walkthrough and it just seemed to be a huge dead end or at least self-sabotage.
You lose Erynn's romance path if you were on it, as well as x10 Erynn Points if you just walk away. If you help her, you can stay on her romance path and gain 2 Erynn Points. At least if memory serves, I just did an Erynn playthrough this evening.

Later in the story, for the "Plan" you again encounter them. Helping Erynn, instead of sticking to the plan John unlocks a FATALITY, if you bash Ethan's head against the door 50x before stopping. It doesn't seem to do much to the story (yet?), as he still gets up and is a part of it. So just an 'achievement' I guess?

kick the ball to Sha'carri to lose her path and if you're gonna burn it down, the way to do it is kiss erynn when she first offers it skip training fool with lexi and call erynn a liar when she accuses you of moving onto Alexis after she refused to have sex with you

It's looking like sticking to the plan may lead John in to some hot water. Ethan already has someone looking into the fake name he gave.

This is the only choice I'm hesitant to make, so my saves all stop there atm.

Yeah, I'm really torn on that one. The other part I don't get at all is if John interrupts the fight (instead of Val), Ethan and his cronies see him. How does Ethan or his buddies not instantly recognize him? John has a very distinct look. Either way they "investigate" him... but he went way off-plan anyways, so that's partly on him.

The Fatality route is very, very satisfying as I always help Erynn, even if not on her path I just feel too bad to leave her to the likes of him. Although my finger usually cramps up from clicking 50x. And it is an incorrect name, as it's not permanent and he does get back up quite quickly.

Hate quoting myself, but I was wrong on the intervene path, but didn't want to go back and edit something people had already left thumbs up for. Seeing I just did it, it's unfortunate I forgot it so fast, but I went back and replayed it.

There is no "investigation" asked for by Ethan if you intervene with Erynn while John is inside. Ethan just leaves his business card with John and says he wants to discuss further and leaves with the other girls. Perhaps that is the right path? Although Ethan is clearly on the warpath for the MC now now. ;)
