Hate quoting myself, but I was wrong on the intervene path, but didn't want to go back and edit something people had already left thumbs up for. Seeing I just did it, it's unfortunate I forgot it so fast, but I went back and replayed it.

There is no "investigation" asked for by Ethan if you intervene with Erynn while John is inside. Ethan just leaves his business card with John and says he wants to discuss further and leaves with the other girls. Perhaps that is the right path? Although Ethan is clearly on the warpath for the MC now now. ;)
I'm certainly curious to see if either choice will have an impact in this next update, will we finally do something with that phone? Will John expendending extra time inside play against him? Same thing for the MC in the punch Ethan scenario?

And it is an incorrect name, as it's not permanent and he does get back up quite quickly.
It's just an easter egg, meant to be a little fun to us, the game wouldn't actually allow us to commit murder... even if the guy has it coming.
It would also lead to a totally different story with the MC finding love in prison with a guy named "Big Mark".

I guess helping Erynn at the door protects John - for now.

My theory is if we don't intervene, we may come home to John in the hospital and his garage trashed. Then Iris might do something drastic.

Since we intervened, we might come home to our house trashed.

Don't be so hard on Ethan's goons Julian and Guy. They either suffer from the same thing Ximena and Santi suffer from: goldfish-itis or goldfish memory. Either that or they have short term memory loss from John punching Julian in the nose and the MC elbowing Guy in the jaw. :HideThePain:

NOTE: That fatality achievement is evidence that Nyx reads this forum and some times takes suggestions.
Months before update 12 was released, user @Defenstrator.for.Traitor made a suggestion that beating down Ethan in the alley the first time should unlock some kind of fatality achievement. He was hoping that we could at least get a Mortal Kombat graphic of Ethan's face in a bloody pulp, but I guess we'll take banging his ape head into oblivion.

I am still a firm believer in sticking to the plan and letting John do his thing. The intervene option just seems to me like it will have bad repercussions. I don't think that Ethan and his goons are much of a threat to John, he can take care of himself as we saw if he helped the MC instead of Val.
I will do a run where the MC jumps in and ruins the plan and takes Ethan's phone, just to see what happens. But I have a feeling it's not going to be good.

I'd argue the intervene option will accomplish nothing but giving Ethan an ass-kicking. So they get his phone, do we really think he wouldn't backup his blackmail material?

I think the main reason John could handle himself was because he had the element of surprise and MC joins the scrap. When Ethan learns who he is and where to find him, all he has to do is wait until he is alone at work or it's just John and Iris.

I think that the consequences for the MC will be far higher for beating up Ethan again and taking his phone, than it will be for John for not being who he says he is. If we can believe that they can even figure out who John is or isn't, which I doubt.

Fair enough. John's only in real trouble if Goon Julian remembers who he is which might take a while.

Intervention may mean immediate repercussions. Ethan knows where the mc and Erynn live. He even taunts the MC regarding Val if she got involved.

Ethan and Tweedledum and Tweedledee may try something while we're in Alvarado, Riverside. Melissa, Emily might also be in danger.

I think the consequences will come for MC, intervention or not. Ethan already had his ass kicked at least once (twice if you save Erynn), he knows that MC will continue to lead Erynn away from his influence.
Everyone who learns of the plan to have John pretend to hire Erynn thinks it's a bad idea. The way I see it, you are unnecessarily involving someone and just inviting more trouble.

As for him finding John's identity, it wouldn't be hard. He's hardly the most inconspicuous gentleman. With Ethan's contacts, he'll find him.

I'm not sure about them remembering as it's not a canon event, sometimes Val will help you if you have enough points. But we shall see I guess. My hope is that the whole Ethan thing gets wrapped up quickly so we can move past it honestly.

Thoughts?
Going for the Quinn hairstyle/colour? I liked her hair a bit better in the early episodes tbh.
This look suited her best IMO, but perhaps I will change my mind once I play the episode and get a better look.

I prefer her original red hair. That color plus her face design might make her look too old.

I would like to see her in her real blonde hair, but I'm guessing Nyx is saving that for when John comes into the picture or when the MC and Melissa are in a relationship.
