And the Melissa scene was a dream, it was shown, and than she wakes up and was thinking to herself "why do i keep having the same dream?"

No choice before that scene either, so yeah it was a dream, and a really big one. It was pretty much the biggest lewd scene in the whole game so far. A lot of work for nyx here... wasted on a dream sequence.

I didn't think the scene was that long personally , so I guess I don't see where you are coming from with that. To me it seemed like an appropriate length.

As far as Mel well we will see in Ch 15 ive seen a few things pointed on here along with how she is moving her path forward from her recent Discord chat with her fans that made me think it could be real.

It seems like Nyx original plans were to take this blackmail plot all the way to the finish line, like all the way, like you would solve this see a couple of scenes and the game would end.
I'm glad it's getting scrapped, allows us to spend more "quality time" with Erynn, i hate games where you get the girl and it ends.

Same tho I know it was said once before she did plan to have some romance time before the game ended but I feel this way she will be able to get more time with Erynn than if she stuck to her orginal plan. Tho I would love to see the original plan even if I think this is much better for the game unless you are a Elena only fan.

Cause how she said it had to move forward instead of the weekend , but then the MC getting suspended and how he seems like he can't go anymore. But yet she mentioned if she does do the scene it has to be done twice for Layla and Alexis and that comment gives me hope she might still do it.

So this decision is one that i applaud without restrictions.

I admit the scenes where you can screw up and get outplayed by Ethan sound interesting as a alternate thing, but it's not worth slowing down the whole game for it.
I would love to see the proposed directors cut or a "scenes from a alternate universe" Intertwined, but not at the cost of keeping my girl Erynn waiting.

I think the BBQ is gone, it's too much work at this stage... you can have the Layla version, Layla with Erynn, Alexis, Alexis with Erynn... plus Santiago stuff.
And from these permutations, we would create new extra splits, which is also extra work, it's unfortunate but it's a business decision, one that i understand.

It's frustrating because i was looking forward to it... but the Monroes can throw another party later on, that isn't a problem.
The reasoning Nyx is using for the cancelation, kinda shitty though... could just be "Hey MC, my dad looked at his schedule and we'll have to postpone the BBQ, he's too busy".
Currently Adriana looks kinda unreasonable, if she wasn't so hot i'd be really mad at her

While true, it's nice when a VN has LI play out as just good friends if you don't follow their romance path or have moms just being moms... isnt there a bunch of scenes in this game where you see the mom topless/naked and grabs her boob when sleeping in her bed? (i might be misremembering that last part). Can't really say a Mom is just a Mom when they're constantly rendered like that. It's gonna make players say "why no LI?!"

Nyx does it on purpose to wind up those constantly asking for incest but mom is just a mom.

So anyone else run into a continuity problem on the start of the Melissa "solo path"?

After the really weird Ethan lewd scene, it jumps back to MC and Emily.

• MC goes to Melissa's when Emily asks him to check up on her.
  • Note: In this playthrough, MC asked Emily not to date John and she did not.
• MC talks to Emily about what happened to him at school.
• Conversation changes to Melissa and John event. The MC says that he saw Melissa looked mad at Emily. She then brings up that she wasn't happy that Emily slept with John.

But she did not! Looks like the logic was forgotten for this scene and assumes that if the MC is pursuing Melissa then he has to have let Emily date him. There is no logic in the episode_114.rpy that covers a Melissa Path, in which Emily did not date John. Not even a broken IF statement.

The code snippet for that scene is below. No IF or other logic of any kind. So I guess the only way the story makes sense is if Emily did go on the date with John?

The Mel scene was a dream and the MC is in bed with her. Doesn't anyone remember at camp when Zach thought he had sex with Elena because they were drunk and went to sleep in the same bed? Why wouldn't Nyx recycle that for MC and Melissa? Especially since there aren't any other witnesses who could clear up the misunderstanding? Think of all the drama that "did we or didn't we" could create, forcing both characters to confront their feelings and urges about one another!

Also, I'm a little disappointed that Nyx is making so many changes to her plans just because people are tired of the blackmail plotline. I'd rather have her write the story she wants to write, but it's understandable that she feels pressure when her income depends on people continuing to support the game.

I loved this game back then but Nyx forcing Emily/Santi to not be scumbags (they are) but tragics figures that had no other choice (they had) and trying to retcon and change narratives to fit that idea made me sour to the entire game.
I bet if you hate and I mean HATE them the entire narrative will turn into that you are a bad person and a reason for the LI to leave you.

Yeah that's the thing it sucks cause I don't like it when devs completely change their vision. Yet it kind is better for the game overall imo. But there is hope we will see it after the game is done cause sounds like there could be enough interest in a directors cut where she might do it the way she intended it.

I understand the logic you're trying to say... However, there's a huge difference between the two versions... There was no chemistry between Zach and Elena, and especially no sexual dream between either of them... There's been hellish chemistry between Melissa and MC since the beginning of the game, and Melissa has already had two dream versions with MC... "Did we do it or didn't we do it" can now be a really good question after waking up, and if MC says yes, then the big conversation can come about which possible solo route to break because of Melissa...
And now just my opinion: Yes it happened, since MC is there in bed, and since they were drunk, Melissa at first thinks she was dreaming again... But then look at her look when she realizes she's not alone in bed...
However, if Nyx deceives Melissa fans again, in my opinion it would be a big mistake, since Melissa is an official LI, and it was time to start her real route...

I'm just hoping the dev is messing with people about Val doing something that'll make us hate her in the future, cause she's the main reason I'm playing this game.

Nyx said there will be a massive NTR scene with Val in the future and people aren't ready yet for that Scene. For me personally I cannot wait for it.
