Who calls Alexis mature? Is that a thing?

Don't get me wrong, I like her. I just wouldn't describe her as mature. I'm not sure anyone in this VN is mature. Elena probably comes closest due to her family life. Melissa, maybe. Emily's trying, I guess but the secrets don't make friends.

Erynn? Hell no.
Val? Eh. Kind of I guess.
Nikki? Probably more mature than any of the Madison Springs crew
Cara? Nope sorry.
Layla? hahahaha.

I could keep naming people but no one really jumps out at me as being mature.

I disagree about Val being pushed on to the MC. Her romantic path is one of the hardest to get on to, because you need almost every point and make every correct choice while on the bus and at training camp. Otherwise she only sees the MC as a friend.

Erynn's mature, she's just naive as fuck and Nikki's mature as well. But Layla and especially Cara, noperz.

I find it curious that Erynn and Val get labelled as "too problematic" for things that happened sometimes years ago by accident or they were victims of...
Not problematic, but definite drama.

At the end of the day, when starting a relationship (regardless of type) its based on what the other party is bringing to the table.

Both girls have baggage, regardless of whether they created it or were victims of it.

"I was just afraid i would lose you if i told the truth", you guys bought this bullshit excuse? After she comes up short on telling the truth not once, but 4 times?
She just feels so bad about lying and backstabbing her friend :ROFLMAO:, she keeps instigating more and feeling SO SAD after...

She's in my pour gasoline and light the match tier:devilish:
Well lets examine that, and full disclosure : I don't care for blondes, so that's an automatic strike one.(which is funny since I'm sweet on Iris, but she needs to get the bouncy short hair like Mira or Melissa, and then she will become a real contender.)

When I play,I will put myself as the MC.
In that vain: Yes, Lexi does lie (lie of omission, but I won't go down that rabbit hole as I do in real life consider it the same as any other lie) about how she conducted her self with the MC.
Let's go over that:
She finds herself attracted to a guy(stranger) on the flight (which we know last about 6 hours.) During that time they talk and only towards the end(I am assuming this as its right before the bathroom choice) do the pieces fall into place of the MC giving his backstory with friends and Erynn's name comes up.
At this time (after hours spent getting to know/flirt with MC) is when Lexi gets the light bulb and connects the dots. Here in this moment, she chooses to throw caution to the wind and follow through with her lust/attraction and invite MC to the bathroom.
Whether you make this choice or later at the bar it leads to a sexual encounter. If you pause on the sex aspect for a moment, we(the player) are led to believe there was chemistry building during the hours of conversation we didn't see on the flight that allows for either/both sexual encounters to take place.

She took a chance, knowing it was wrong, but also NOT knowing what/if any consequences would be had.(I realize this is a thin argument as knowing both parties means *something* is bound to come up) She takes this chance, selfishly so, to see what, if anything is actually there between her and the MC.
And on each encounter, there is. There are genuine feelings developing on both sides.

Those feelings continue to grow and progress as each of them make time/find time for the other. This happens naturally and progressively until the MC finds out about Lexi and confronts her. And then... he does what he is good at... he runs away from it.

AGAIN. The same mistake he made with Erynn.

Only this time, he's just a little older. Maybe not wiser, but he definitely knows how it turns out if you close doors for five years.
So you (the player) have the choice now: Do you finally listen to the other persons point of view/side of the coin? Or do you just judge and say goodbye?

In my life I have been cheated on and lied to. It sucks. It hurts.
But I also know what making assumptions does as well.

In this case, I let Lexi explain. AND I can forgive the lie because it wasn't done maliciously or with ill intent. It came from a misguided place of longing/love/fear? Take your pick.

I won't hold that against her, because her feelings are real. If anything she was a poor friend to Erynn, but that doesn't make her a bad friend/lover to me (MC). It's also not the MC responsibility to care about the relationship between Lexi and Erynn when's he's been gone for so long and is just getting acclimated to the lay of the land in Madison Springs again.

Regardless of who knows who, you can't "Intertwine" every relationship. You have to take one at a time and deal with that.
Lexi is far from perfect, but for me, some of her imperfections are part of the attraction.

And this doesn't put Erynn down. My biggest problem with her, is her expectation of a resumed friendship with the MC while she (for one reason or another) has kept a relationship of any sort with Ethan.
Her expectation of the MC to jump back into her life while Ethan is a presence in any shape or form, is ill conceived at worst, naive at best.

I don't hate Erynn, but time and actions have taught that you just can't trust her with your heart. Because she always has a good reason to do something that just doesn't sit right. That's why I think friend-zone is where she should be.

We don't have to agree on this, and that's fine. I just think it's important for everyone to voice their 'why' and feel comfortable if others don't agree.

I think we can all agree that the MC is the least mature of all? :ROFLMAO: So it's all good.
Agreed 100%. MC is a fuck-tard who is too quick to pass judgement, jump to conclusions and run away without actually talking anything through with people.

I probably have failed to define 'mature'.

When I have said Lexi is 'mature', in my head I have been comparing her to the likes of Layla/Cara who are both younger and I suppose should have a pass.
I do think Lexi is more mature than Erynn, because she knows how to keep the 'bad' away and not get 'caught up' in other peoples BS. That being said, she is NOT perfect and not the most mature.
Of the age group and younger, i think in terms of maturity(not counting teachers or parents):
Elena wins hands down, then Nikki, then probably Valeria, before we get to Alexis.
But that's just how I view it based on the current iteration of the story.

Erynn was in over her head with Ethan and not mature enough to reach out for help until it reached a breaking point with the MC seeing Ethan nearly assault her in an alley. He STILL had to convince her afterwards.

yeah kind of why she takes a bit to warm up to and get better if you can get past her negatives initially. My first playthrough I wanted nothing to do with her and wanted to break up with her and stay loyal to Erynn after I found out about the lies. But well they both found out before I had the chance.

It was only on my 2nd or 3rd playthrough where I gave her path a real chance I started to like her cause once I got past the initial bad there was nothing but good and kind of felt like real girlfriend material to me after that point.
I've given her a chance and it just doesn't click.
Between the lousy excuse(which you have no option but to swallow it whole), her often "hollier than though" attitude when things don't go her way...
After these things the sappy lovey-dovey stuff just doesn't sit well with me.

I did enjoy her company before finding out btw.
After, it just doesn't sit right.

Just to make it clear, it's just that people often call her out for immaturity, this is why i put it in quotes.
Imo, she's innocent about whole bunch of things(in a cute way) but handles her emotions better than the average Intertwined girl.

Not problematic, but definite drama.

Honestly it's a relationship built on lies and with a person that, as you admit, is willing to betray her friend to get what she wants.
She didn't trust the guy she loves, and lied to her friend...

Her second thoughts and sadness ring hollow with me because she's the one instigating, everytime... plane, bootycalls, concert...
She has many opportunities and stays the course... next time.

I don't hate Erynn, but time and actions have taught that you just can't trust her with your heart. Because she always has a good reason to do something that just doesn't sit right. That's why I think friend-zone is where she should be.
When you say this about Erynn, saying you can't ever trust her despite the fact that she always tried to do the right thing(even if the results weren't good) yet fully trusts someone who didn't trust you, or her best friend, it feels like a big blind spot.
And ironically is quite similar to my feelings about Alexis.

Look at the previous page if you want to find them :ROFLMAO:

And yeah this game is about girls being emotional messes, saying they are mature... i just don't see it.

I'd argue she's naive, not immature. Hell, other than the teacher, she's the only one LI living on her own, supporting herself.

Yeah that's why she only works if you can get past that I can which is why she works and feels like a great girlfriend to me after that point. But for ones that can't I can see why she is nothing but someone fun to be with for sex or just fun company but nothing more.

I'd argue she's naive, not immature. Hell, other than the teacher, she's the only one LI living on her own, supporting herself.
Yeah I always thought Erynn as someone naive and scared but not immature

Not by her will

However this is defamation towards Layla, who has the most mature reaction after misbehaving with the MC in the first meeting with Lucas.

Also, Elena, regardless of whether or not you're on her path or on Layla's path, clearly has feelings for the MC, yet won't say anything. Surely not a mature thing to do.

Naivety is being fooled by Ethan multiple times.

Part of maturity is understanding when you're in over your head and need help.
Id argue even that's naive. She doesn't have the street smarts of an Alexis who works in a bar so Alexis knows better, she still thinks or at least thought until the MC pointed it out that she could handle this all on her own. Lack of experience is stopping her from realizing she's in over her head, not a lack of maturity.
