Only thing in your post I'll disagree with.

Yes, she can, very easily. Every day, she chooses not to. Even if your three choices are all equally shiity, you always, have a choice. She chooses to put up with it when it could have all been over a long time ago. Just because the MC is here now, does not mean there will be any different outcome than if she just did what she knows she needs to do herself.

Sure, the tape might become public...just have to deal with at the time, like many other celebs have. Comes back to maturity issue again (and Ok, I accept I'm not her age or a woman)....but deal with a few months fallout of people talking and pointing fingers and not teaching...or the alternative? Her choice, she chooses the latter.

Her teaching career is in complete fucking tatters anyway (given we know this is set in some sort of USA and we ALL know that never in a thousand years would a woman get a teachers job given her modelling career). Never even mind if say for example, another teacher or someone from the school governing board just happened by chance to see her walking out of a back entrance of a members only club looking like an escort (which, she actually is...for the lulz).

Her career already dead...so make the tough decision. The fact she hasn't, let's be honest, is not actually on her, it's on the absurdly fucking stupid 12 year old writing from Nyx, because, getting some bum mechanic involved is by far, the smartest move anyone could make
You are right, i won't go back and edit the post, i'll leave it like that, but i agree with you.

Her crucial mistake is not going to the police right away, back in high school when he first blackmailed her.
Her second is not doing it at any point since.

I find it somewhat understandable, she is still the victim, she doesn't deserve to be in this position and it sucks...
But the she keeps making it harder to solve the problem.

And the reason she behaves like that is because Nyx didn't want a quick solution to this story (y)

Knowing your an Erynn fan here is a question that's not exactly fair but you're a balanced dude so here it goes.

It seems to me that if we consider which LI (or potential LI) is in the deepest love with the MC (on their path or whatever). I really gotta say it's Iris then probably Alexis and Layla. Erynn might get there but I just don't think their relationship has matured enough yet for that to be the case. Plus she has other shit distracting her.

Thoughts?
For me Erynn is number one too, i don't think her level of "devotion" to this guy is matched anywhere else, the bond between them is the strongest, only getting stronger with him helping her through her issues.
She may have seen him as just a little brother growing up, but their connection and what has blossomed between them is the strongest in my mind, no doubt.

Layla is a cutesy first love story.
Alexis... i take many issues with.
Nikki, Iris and Cara all fit into the ex-gf who still has feelings, it's a strong bond no doubt, but i don't think it quite matches to that level of devotion.

Also, replaying the flashback right now to get my quotes right and MC is even more of a moron.

Mom(Emily) lays it all out verbatim and wasn't even there and of course, he doesn't listen to her.
Damn fool...

Holding someone accountable for their actions and situations is not being judgemental. Its called personal responsibility.
I want Erynn to be responsible for what has transpired and find a way through it without needing the MC.

Nothing would make me happier than at some point in the story it goes like this:

MC: "Hey Erynn, let me help you take care of this final thing for you, and we can be done with Ethan for good."
Erynn: "Thank you for all the help you have given me MC, I needed a hand, and you were there. But its time I see this through on my own. This was my mess, and I need to clean it up - finally, and on my own."

I will jump up cheering when that happens. I look forward to it!
I would hate this so much. There is nothing wrong with her trying to do something herself . If she comes out of the blue and doesn't want the MC help after everything he has done for and the potential danger, she could get into would feel really bad to me. If I had the chance as the MC and she said this I would do my best so she doesn't do it alone. Now if she just tries to do it alone without telling the MC her plans or anything that is different and good for her character growth.

Alexis ain't in love with shit, she's still in the lust phase. Hence why their relationship is so all or nothing. Layla I'll give you. Iris, Im not so sure about.
Erryn might not be in the banging stage yet, but she def loves the MC and other than maybe Layla is the only one that wants to see MC happy regardless of whether or not its with her

I may not have made myself clear.
I mean specifically the end game of whatever the blackmail plot is. I don't want Erynn putting herself into a bad situation just to prove something.
That really would make no sense.

I truly don't hate Erynn. I want to like her but she makes it difficult (the same way it's difficult to like the MC).
They are all particularly flawed, I think Erynn and MC most of all.

That's part of the allure of the AVN.

I realize I have stated several times how I don't hate Erynn, which probably makes people think I really do hate her.

So here is the Erynn pros list:
She's fun loving and playful
She's always willing to drop what she's doing(within reason) and help the MC
She, unlike the MC can listen when it's called for.
She cares for the MC(even if she's trying to figure out on what level the feelings are)

I won't disagree with any of that except for the last of MC wanted to talk (very aggressively).
He is finally using his words here and choosing to actually talk about what started the whole rift. That's his growth instead of just running away again.(which he is almost ready to do again, but you the player are given the choice to show that growth.)
He's not entitled to come around acting like an asshole, after he was an asshole for the last 5 years... i'm starting to wonder why you consider this "reasonable" or he is in a position to make demands.

It's good that he spoke his mind, but he was out of line acting like that.

To the first point, you are 100% correct.
To the second, she has witnessed the bullying or its at least very strongly implied, otherwise why does she say in the flashback:
Erynn: "Why do you always bully him?"
Ethan: "What? Why not? It's funny."

Bullying takes many forms, so she knows Ethan has bullied the MC. What she may not have witnessed is that it went physical, but regardless of that, bullying is bullying.
If we can't establish different levels of how Erynns trauma works, then the same goes for what bullying constitutes where the MC is concerned.
She witnessed some of it yes, which is why she understands why the MC doesn't like Ethan.
She would still be within her rights to hang out with him, if she thinks that he's grown and became a better guy since.
We don't get to chose who our friends are friends with.

And all this discussion is a fucking moot point as it relates to Erynn because both you and i know that Erynn hangs out with Ethan against her will and not because she wants to.

What exactly are you holding Erynn accountable for, getting blackmailed?
Yeah she could've handled it better, i just made a post to Maviarab touching on that.
But as friends we take things how they are, not simply point fingers and say "you should've handled that better", we stick with them and help them, in any way we can.

And if you JeSinclair (not the MC anymore)comes around from your position of oversight and knowledge, criticizing characters for not handling things exactly the way that you want them too, you are judging.

I'm confused: how is he an asshole for speaking his mind here and getting to the bottom of what really happened 5 years prior?
Asshole for not doing it sooner, agreed 100%. Probably the same for not just getting the elephant out of the way sooner too.

She witnessed some of it yes, which is why she understands why the MC doesn't like Ethan.

That's not the point of contention. Its her continued relationship with Ethan while trying to rekindle the friendship with MC, AND knowing it will come out, but delaying when it does.
But you are correct on one thing:you did allude to Erynn trying to get it out sooner, and during my replay of the scene from the past and the aftermath, i see the dialogue there so I stand corrected on that.

This right here, she needed to nip this in the bud much sooner. As with most things in life that people try to hide, the more you do so, the more it will hurt when it comes out.

And if you JeSinclair (not the MC anymore)comes around from your position of oversight and knowledge, criticizing characters for not handling things exactly the way that you want them too, you are judging.
I respectfully, disagree.
I don't judge Erynn the character - but I hold her accountable for the bad choice, which while many people would probably make the same mistake, it never turns out well.

As the MC states:
MC : "How do you know for sure that he really has a video if you didn't see it?"
Erynn: "..."
MC: "Erynn, seriously. You are one of the smartest people I know, I'm sorry but that's pretty dumb!"
MC: "For fuck sake... you know he can't be trusted..."

Now we as players know the video is real and out there. But at this point, she didn't. She did exactly what MC does: assume.
That assumption is what I hold accountable. Just as we hold MC accountable for being a massive prick with 5 years of no contact based on an assumption.

Her assumption has kept her a victim.

I kind of disagree with this because Ethan tricked her into thinking he changed , after the MC left. At that point I think alot of people wouldn't think twice about being a friend with someone like that or give them a second chance unless they got some backbone to cut off friends that early in life. I know I never did or would . Then by time the MC came back to town he was blackmailing her. That isn't something you just say right away when you reconnect with an old friend it takes time.

And again I quote (Scene where Erynn is confessing to MC)

Erynn: "He (Ethan) stopped his friendly facade and went back to his old ways of being jealous and bullying everyone I was talking to."

(Some MC internal dialogue later..._)

Erynn: "After all that, I broke my friendship with Ethan. Something I should've done way earlier. We didn't hang out anymore, didn't even speak to each other."

The trick of change didn't last long. And at that point in time, she had pivoted into a good course of action.
It is because of the blackmail that her 'relationship' with Ethan continues. And I grant that it takes time to come out and talk about it all.
I guess my issue on this matter is about timing. She did have opportunities to 'spill the beans' but it was never the right time. When it comes to matters of important topics though, its never the right time. You just have to rip the band aid off.

I'm tough on Erynn because I like her. I just don't trust her with MC heart.

So in going over some of that part of the story (Erynn confession to MC, and the aftermath of learning about Ethan blackmail)

I have come to the realization, that Erynn and Zane had sex *prior* to prom(that is how Ethan got his meat-hooks into her).
For whatever reason, I blanked on the when the sex took place.

Question: Prom is not defined here, but I thought it was said to be senior prom. That technically means everyone is around 17. Does that then count as underage sex in the game?
I think that was why some of the Iris dialogue got changed, so it no longer appears to be underage sex with Iris and MC.

If it IS underage sex, then my stance on Erynn shifts slightly more in her favor, as most females are still very uncomfortable with their bodies and it would be an embarrassment/betrayal of a whole other order because of that, and to top it off its her virginity on tape.

Anyone having their virginity on tape(without consent) would be deeply traumatized, but more-so if it was underage.
