I think the solution to Ethan's problem is going in a completely different direction than most people suspect. Ethan's goons killed Rachel. The cops found out and Ethan is being arrested because he was the one who ordered it.

Conspiracy theory moment... Nyx already knew this but released V14 with a flawed script to get people talking.
She announced her plans for scrapping saves and re-doing the script before 14 was even out.

Wouldn't put it past her. After many of us on this thread figured out her tells, she went into full blown multi-update conspiracy.

I think some friends mentioned that some other things are cut, like the more recent Zach and Ethan at the club scene(at least it's not shown), it doesn't exist if you left Erynn behind.
And i presume John doesn't go to the other club either.

On the social pariah path yes (main choices don't help Erynn or the Monroes you're a disgusting POS. Both can't be done at the same time on this path). And Erynn-Lexi give you dirty looks when you bump into them. Your last chance is the Erynn letter left by Andres.

Wouldn't put it past her. After many of us on this thread figured out her tells, she went into full blown multi-update conspiracy.

She already knew she was rebooting before the release of V14.
Nyx knew she didn't need a perfect script because it was getting remade for the next update anyway.

And why would she release it "broken"? And aware that it's broken...
Because it makes the "real or not?" discussion about the latest Melissa scene more mysterious.
If Melissa refused sex, but only on the Erynn path... It would be pretty clear that, Oh yeah, this time they actually had sex.
There would be no mystery, and Nyx loves her mysteries

Then she can simply say it's just something that got fixed on the newer version of the script.

But it's just a conspiracy theory right now

I've done it in the past, i wanted to explore the consequences and see what happens, it feels really shitty...

Yeah, not something I really feel any need to try, but interesting to know how the game adapts to it!

I was just mentioning possibilities.
And in the bad Erynn ending we probably wouldn't see much, just Erynn going in/out of a club accompanied by a random rich guy(old perv? Santiago ?) or Ethan.
Hinting at her fate, but without actually showing her... "entertaining" a bunch of old rich dudes.
Showing something like that in all the gory details, if it ever comes, will only be a "what if?" story after Intertwined is complete.

I get the impression that left to her own devices Nyx would really like to more explicitly show the consequences of the MC being a dick or cheating. She's also mentioned stuff like showing Nikki cheating on you at the beach if you're cheating on her. She's not stupid though and I guess she knows that including that stuff would probably lose her a decent number of supporters, even if it was easily avoidable by not making awful choices!

Assuming Nyx really does have a private version with that material I'm not sure she would ever release it. Not sure what she'd gain, it would probably just piss people off.

And of course the redemption ending, where you help out and MC-Erynn become friends again.

The choices to help / not help Erynn are pretty explicit, I don't think anyone could claim to have accidentally refused to help and didn't realise what would happen. If you've got to that point in the game refusing to help I can't see why Erynn would want anything to do with you, it would need to be a seriously impressive letter to patch things up...

When the Lexi and Erynn waifu wars were very vicious several hundred pages back on this thread, we've had flat out Erynn haters deliberately refuse to help her in the alley against Ethan, and also openly admit it on this thread.

If you did not help Erynn in the alley scene against Ethan: I agree with Acsuka and you that a letter and even deciding to help her against Ethan might not be enough. MC is going to have to do the noble sacrifice: taking an Ethan gun bullet for Erynn/Iris/John. I'm guessing he could take the bullet for John so that Erynn could have a father. The MC doesn't die but is in coma for a few weeks before waking up. Then there's a teary eyed apology in the hospital room and heartfelt talk between MC-Erynn in the hospital. That's probably the only way Erynn can forgive him and he makes up for abandoning her in the alley. And they can still be friends.

And maybe he doesn't deserve redemption... but who knows, it might still be possible with all the things surrounding Erynn that still happen regardless of you helping her or not, and all the close friends and family on both sides.

I don't think I'd realised before that the script rewrite included v14, I assumed that she was just rewriting the script from earlier in the game to fix old issues. Interesting, it does open the door for her to mess with players a bit, I like the theory!

I think Nyx has been pretty clear that if you're kind and loyal then you'd never see any of that material and everything would always be fine. But like you say, if you're unkind and cheat on girls then the consequences could get darker. I pretty much only play 'good' solo routes anyway so I guess it's not something that would affect me, but I don't mind the idea for those that want it. Maybe not the full evil corruption stuff with Ethan, but I like the idea of cheating having consequences in terms of girls moving on with other people.

One interesting scene that she's talked about is actually showing the Erynn blackmail video when Ethan shows you. We know it exists, it's in the past and isn't her doing anything wrong, but I'm guessing that would still cause a load of issues and isn't worth the hassle. Personally don't think we need to see it for it to work as a plot device, just including it as an added sexy scene would feel a bit creepy given the context...

Either way none of it will be in the main game, not worth the hassle!

I'd be really surprised if Erynn staying with Ethan and getting corrupted is an option in the main game. It just feels like the overall tone is aimed at the soap opera thing with lots of drama and twists and emotions, but not going into anything properly dark like that.

You could maybe get some redemption if you didn't let Erynn explain her situation at all and pretty much blanked her so you aren't really aware of what's going on or how serious it was. Or do you always know about the blackmail, I can't remember? If you let Erynn explain her situation about the blackmail and then decide not to bother helping that feels pretty irredeemable!

I thought Nyx mentioned that she has an ntr scene with Nikki at the beach if you've cheated on her. Don't think she mentioned Zane specifically, but it does seem like that would fit. I might have that a bit wrong though, it's been a while. Even if it does exist in nyx's version we're not seeing it in the game, if ever though. It will have to stick to the fan-art thread for now!

Edit - just to add I'm probably wrong on this. Had a quick look back at the discord Q&A where Nyx talked about this stuff and she mentions Nikki being in her ntr version of the game, but can't find the details. It might be in there somewhere or I might have just remembered wrong - don't want to mislead anyone!
