It's not impossible, Erynn secret path would be easy to set up (help her get rid of Ethan while on another route and she falls for you and tries to steal you), likewise Layla could try and win you back if you rejected her for Elena, and Elena could still make a play for you when you're with Layla, Valeria's kept her distance if on Layla's route but could still catch feelings later on.

But then the argument would be that sometimes LIs grow on you, or entered the story later than other characters. This is only thinking in terms of people who play a single blind route through the game of course, but those people exist. For example, anyone on the Layla path would have locked out Valeria before even meeting her, anyone who chose Lexi and didn't want to break up with her locked themselves out of all other options.

I would argue that if Nikki, who enters the story alongside Cara and you're presented with a binary choice if you romanced both of them, gets a secret path as a second chance, then any character is entitled to a secret path.

For games like this where I'm actually invested in the characters my main interest is running monogamous solo routes with different LIs, no side girls, no threesomes, no sharing. Might be boring to some, but I'm a sucker for the romance! I'm not really concerned at all about Nyx having LIs be tempted away by another man on those routes.

I can see that material being included in cheating routes and think it could work well there to give your choices a consequence, but I don't personally play those routes and people that do might have a different opinion!

I enjoy messy routes a whole lot, they are a ton of fun.
The jealousy scenes and rivalry between the girls are absolutely fantastic
I have an easy time dissociating and just going for entertainment.

And yeah seeing the girl you broke up with end up with someone else would be a huge punishment.

This is the question that I'm torn on, I'm a bit head vs heart on it... In my rational head I like the idea of the game world being realistic and girls having their own lives that move on if the MC isn't interested. Obviously it's fine if a girl you've rejected moves on and dates someone else, they wouldn't be doing anything wrong and it would make the world feel more real.

At the same time, my favourite routes so far are Layla and Erynn. If I'm playing my Layla save and Erynn gets back together with Zane (just as an example) I think it would still feel like a real gut punch because I'm emotionally invested in Erynn from playing her save. She wouldn't have done anything wrong in the game, but it's still not a feeling I'm really after. It's not a dealbreaker, I'd still play it, but on balance I'd rather not have it there and just enjoy playing!

I guess everyone might have their own characters they wouldn't want to see with someone else. Personally I wouldn't care if Melissa or Cara or a side girl got together with someone else because I don't have any real attachment to them, but everyone will have their favourites.

I understand, what i just said applies here too, some of us have an easier time dissociating than others.
I can dissociate and get in a different frame of mind easily.

If i'm going for a Layla playthrough and Erynn is simply my friend, i'm cool with her finding someone else...
I always try to get in the mind of what i'm doing in this save.

One thing that annoys me a little about a lot of AVNs is the double standards in terms of LIs messing with other women or other men. A LI getting together with another man would cause riots, but a LI getting together with another woman is hot and exciting. I get that threesomes with two girls are a really common fantasy, but if I had to pick I actually find MMF threesomes hotter in a pure porn sense. For a LI I actually care about I'd always want to be able to avoid any kind of sharing / threesomes whether it's with another man or woman, it makes no difference. Obviously no problem at all with that content being included for those that want it as long as it's avoidable, not judging anything!

That's a double standard that is never going away...

Combining Alexis with Erynn kinda is like that already (Iris-Alexis is also similar) it doesn't have the "secret path" status but it largely works like that.
You are dating Alexis, Erynn acts like a good supportive friend... but she's constantly dropping hints that she wants more.
I'm patiently waiting to see when Erynn will finally cross the line...

A simple kiss with Erynn on the Alexis combo beats all these ideas of "girl 'x' arrives with a dude"


While i'm at it, ASP didn't really need to be so complex, involve Erynn...
If you kept banging Alexis all the way to the Rock concert, but picked Layla over her... she always has a sad face when she sees MC-Layla together, clearly not over being dumped for her little sister.
She is still hurting and looks like she could do something dumb at any second...

Well, you already know for me. My favorite route is the ASP. To understand why, you should have played Erynn solo and Alexis solo (or even multi-Erynn vs Alexis) beforehand. Since the ASP is technically an extended Layla route, you learn from the three girls what "ordeal" (in puzzle pieces) Alexis has been through, and why I really feel sorry for Alexis.

Far from it, the ASP is a tragic story of unrequited love, one that's so close to hand, yet so far away.

I have to honestly admit that I wasn't aware of the depth of Alexis's story at first.

It wasn't until I started the Erynn vs. Alexis multi-route, focusing only on Alexis's story and chronologically arranging the puzzle pieces (not easy to find) scattered throughout the VN. With this knowledge, I tackled the ASP route and understood what a tragic story lies behind it. Now I also understand why Alexis is so aggressive in courting the MC in the solo path, doing absolutely ANYTHING to please the MC, and why Alexis is chronically allergic to every girl!

At this point, I assume the route is heading for disaster. At some point, Alexis will collapse.

idk I haven't played the ASP in full only did a speed run of it in the past from my pov it's the worst path cause it just needs more love and progression but I do admit it is the most interesting once it actual goes somewhere.

I think most people started with Alexis’ route and will slowly end up cheating on her with Erynn. Now the question is — how long will we be able to keep playing around like this?

I don't really have a "canon" playthrough, as I have individual saves for everyone, so they are all canon when I'm playing them... My original playthrough though, as probably the closest I'd get to one, is Nikki. Or rather, "Lexi and Layla until they found out and confronted me on my doorstep but did it quietly enough that Nikki couldn't hear, so I was left with her and any other sidegirls who I happened to be able to get away with and who weren't called Tori."

The problem lies in that it requires erynn path to be friends, which clash hard with the story and doesn't make sense given some choices you have to make, which doesn't make sense to qualify for the erynn friends path. Erynn is unhealthy in love with MC, and that's cannon.
