I'm just hoping the dev is messing with people about Val doing something that'll make us hate her in the future, cause she's the main reason I'm playing this game.

Yeah, especially after this update, cause if you're on her path and you didn't punch the douche, she seems relieved and wants to spend time with mc. So really wouldn't make sense to have her pull a 180 and do something that counter's what we just saw.
Hi, I think I have a problem I downloaded the split version but when I install and run the game there is not new content. Can someone tell me If I'm doing something wrong?

Mediocore update... Only did the Laya run though, and nothing was in it that screams to me that i have to see the other routes. Will do that after the next update i guess.
Nothing revealed that we didnt already know... John is Erryns father, yeah well... that one was clear as day since John first appeared in the game.
The Zach incident was badly done... why did Gabi lie though? (i didnt punched him, cause it was obvious that this would lead to consequences, maybe the witnesses will clear things up, there were plenty)
The Ethan Blowjob... just... why? Did ANYBODY want to see that he dresses up a whore as Erryn to get BJs and a fuck from her? I dont wanna see that, and there is no reason to waste development time on that either.
Same goes for the Sex dream for Melissa... sorry i dont like those one bit. Why even put them like this in the game? There is no reason. If i want to be on her path and want to see a lewd scene with her, i dont want to see those scenes happen as a dream, that just sucks and takes the fun out of it. I will make a Melissa playthrough, but i want to see things acutally happen, and not see all the fun things during a dream...
If you want to show that melissa is dreaming about the MC, make it short. Dont waste dev time on that like this... People who actually want to see things happen between her and the MC, dont want to see that in a dream sequence, they prefer the "real" thing... its basically one month DEV work wasted.
Make 2-3 renders for those things... one wehre ethan gets a BJ from a erryn lookalike and be done with it, and some for Melissa so we know she dreamed about MC again, and thats it... focus on other things that acutally matter.
The whole update felt like no update at all overall... shame.

Kinda mixed on this. I agree about the blackmail storyline being a drag and glad it's ending, but it seems a lot of characterization had to be scrapped on top of reshuffling of other things which makes the overall structure kind of disjointed. Haven't played the latest update yet so don't know if it does anything on this front, but seems weird if you chose to break things off with Layla because of feelings with Elena that there has been little to no mention or showing of Elena since. And it seems to be one of the casualties of this reshuffling.

I have to disagree about this part because it's clear to me it's show how off the rails Ethan is and a clue he probably is the one that killed Rachael considering Rachael was found dead wearing the same outfit Erynn wears. so no I don't think that was a waste of time at all , weird yes waste of time no.
The rest of your post is subjective I didn't play the Mel scene but there I read there are hints it may not be a dream and the fact Mel content got pushed forward might mean Nyx is gonna reveal it wasn't in the next update.
Personally I loved the update 13 was better but the interactions was almost as good for me.

It seems like Nyx original plans were to take this blackmail plot all the way to the finish line, like all the way, like you would solve this see a couple of scenes and the game would end.
I'm glad it's getting scrapped, allows us to spend more "quality time" with Erynn, i hate games where you get the girl and it ends.
It also allows us to focus on Girl vs Girl drama, which in my opinion is much better than this Ethan shit anyway, i'm glad she decided to kill it.
Honestly with so many plans for this thing she should've hit the ground running with it, instead she waited and waited... people just want it gone.
It sounds like the original vision included a lot of "failure states", where if you make wrong decisions Ethan gets the girl(s)... while i'm glad this shit is ending i would love to see this one day out of curiosity, the directors cut edition.

Bottom line i think scrapping it is for the best, but i would like to experience this unrestricted version where you can simply fuck up and lose someday.
I figured Emily and John was ending too, this thing potentially blocks both Erynn and Iris, can't have that.
And it makes sense storyline wise that she would step back from something this messy.
But it seems like she still has plenty of choice.
The BBQ being cut sounds like a business decision, the sheer number of variations would make this very complex.
Layla, Layla but also dating Erynn, Alexis, Alexis while flirting with Erynn... and the Santiago stuff.
Plus the Lakeyin wild card.
It's frustrating because i was looking forward to this, but i understand the decision.

Otherwise it seems like Nyx is taking a chainsaw to many of her plans in regard to the Ethan blackmail story and personally I'm glad. Could wrap up as soon as 16.

It needed to end, it greatly overstayed it's welcome.
And girl v girl drama is much better, much more unpredictable.
The directors cut where Ethan can win is interesting but more as a curiosity, i don't want that on my major saves, it's not worth slowing everything down just for this honestly.
I already said it, i HATE games where you get the girl and it ends right after, if she kept her plans, Erynn could've ended up as one example of this.

I didnt mean not to show us how of a degenerate Ethan actually is, yes we need to see that, but it doesnt need to be a long scene like that... 1 or 2 renders with the fake Erryn would have been enough to show that...
And the Melissa scene was a dream, it was shown, and than she wakes up and was thinking to herself "why do i keep having the same dream?"
No choice before that scene either, so yeah it was a dream, and a really big one. It was pretty much the biggest lewd scene in the whole game so far. A lot of work for nyx here... wasted on a dream sequence.

I really like this game but it is very poorly optimized, there are some scenes that made the game look like the one in the school trip pool, besides the size of the game which is quite big.

since we're losing the blackmail storyline ( thank god), I'm guessing that ethan's gonna be the mastermind so we can be done with it.
Maybe his dad will go to jail together or something like that, but he won't be a big factor.
Nor what are Ethan and Zane to each other, enemies? buddies? co-conspirators? All this shit just evaporated(and it's for the best
).

I didn't think the scene was that long personally , so I guess I don't see where you are coming from with that. To me it seemed like an appropriate length.
As far as Mel well we will see in Ch 15 ive seen a few things pointed on here along with how she is moving her path forward from her recent Discord chat with her fans that made me think it could be real.
Same tho I know it was said once before she did plan to have some romance time before the game ended but I feel this way she will be able to get more time with Erynn than if she stuck to her orginal plan. Tho I would love to see the original plan even if I think this is much better for the game unless you are a Elena only fan.
Tho I am kind of confused if we are getting the BBQ scene or not. Cause how she said it had to move forward instead of the weekend , but then the MC getting suspended and how he seems like he can't go anymore. But yet she mentioned if she does do the scene it has to be done twice for Layla and Alexis and that comment gives me hope she might still do it.
It does seem like her original plan would be pushing things very close to the finish line.
Maybe not quite get rid of Ethan>officially a couple with Erynn>sex/ending... but it would surely limit the time we would have with her... and i HATE THIS.
So this decision is one that i applaud without restrictions.

I would love to see the proposed directors cut or a "scenes from a alternate universe" Intertwined, but not at the cost of keeping my girl Erynn waiting.
I think the BBQ is gone, it's too much work at this stage... you can have the Layla version, Layla with Erynn, Alexis, Alexis with Erynn... plus Santiago stuff.
And from these permutations, we would create new extra splits, which is also extra work, it's unfortunate but it's a business decision, one that i understand.

The reasoning Nyx is using for the cancelation, kinda shitty though... could just be "Hey MC, my dad looked at his schedule and we'll have to postpone the BBQ, he's too busy".
