PSA: Betas no longer function - get back diskspace, just delete them. It's now just a reload of their Steam "Prologue" demo.

. Unknown if app still phones home without EULA acceptance exposing your details (IP Address, etc.) like the Beta -- a likely EU Data violation as well.
It is probably better to tryout using the Steam Prologue release.
- Don't bother wasting your time on this latest "Prologue" upload or using your PixelDrain limits.
- Not downloading prolog won't put a load on F95 other resources.
If you don't want a game "seen" in your Steam account, use the new Steam Beta that lets you mark any game as "private" so it really for realz is unseen by all except you.
This "Prologue" upload is not what the Dev was previously uploading.
And you cannot play any more Betas. Turns out they been phoning home to see if its been released. So ya, unless you use a VPN, they have records of your IP and how many times you've run it, possibly other "fingerprint/data points" about you & your PC -- I'm sure that violates some EU data legislation as their F95 Beta uploads *by them* having no EULA to review or agree to to use the Beta uploaded by the Devs themselves. Opps.
The devs should be paid for the 4 years of hard work. I'm sure they have loans/investors who'd like to recoup their $$. Of course, folks have bills & gotta eat. $50 US, don't know how well they'll do in their first few months. There's fine balance between $$ vs sales numbers as velocity-volume of sales can easily have more profit than trying to get a couple more bucks.
As a consumer, I'm sure they are aware we have expenses too. I won't be able to get it until its on sale for substantial savings. It'll likely sit in my wishlist for a few years to I can get it once Steam notifies me. Will it get to be same as Borderlands 2 for $7, I doubt it. Hell even MadMind's Succubus $25 at full price. Or House Party. Hell, get both for < $50 when both are on sale, plus some DLC and other games.
This game definitely is not an AI or Asset flip. There's a lot of work in it. I remember a couple of years ago trying Iragon18 and felt like it had a real potential, especially in this genre space. Even semi-decent story moments. But a demo isn't enough to show how well a story progresses or is written.
Another thing, does the Steam release (or the Prologue) have the patches for NPCs available as mentioned on their

page? Not that they will work for those folks who threw money at it nearly 4 years ago.
If it lacks the patches (or option to enable), it's not for me - forget it. (It may be fine for you). I won't be paying a AAA price for a partial product. Steam may not allow those patches, but it could always an "universal" patch like House Party did via their Itch.io listing (should be a free patch IMHO). And I won't buy it even on sale to offset a downloadable "repack" to restore the NPC patch. (The repack would likely phone home unless patched as well.) Paying for a AAA price, it should have it all and assurances.
And just because it uses a controller (aside from being VR enabled) doesn't mean the game will work on my SteamDeck.
Fuck that noise. They've some poor choices: Phone's home, over priced, undetermined skin patch set, on Steam but not SteamDeck verified. I wish them success.
