Side/short stories, What If's? and "non-canon" stuff like that are a waste of time. Just focus on the main game.
Looks like you want to use them as a niche kinks outlet. If you like niche kinks, why don't make a game full of them?
But if you are doing a fairly vanilla game, why work with niche kinks? Not saying you can't. Your project, you vision, your rules.
Niche kinks or not, side stories, imho, always derail the main game. Specially the non-canon stuff. I think it's better to put all your attention to your main project.
P.S: Lesbian, group sex and even anal sex are considered vanilla for a lot of people here. Obviously there are people that don't like them but they're still more accepted than rejected. I'm talking about the most controversial and clearly non vanilla stuff like rape, NTR, beast or scat.
Anyway, may be or may not be my jam but still wish you luck. Looks fun so far so yeah, probably gonna give it a try.
Hey friend, about 90% of my time goes into the main game. These side stories just don’t fit the main narrative.
I think additional content isn’t bad by default - it’s completely optional. Some people might enjoy extra scenes with their favourite characters, others might think it’s unnecessary. Both opinions are valid.
From a dev’s perspective, it’s also nice to switch things up occasionally to avoid burnout, since the project takes a lot of personal time.

Quite a nice start for the game and have a interesting theme, just need to wait for more updates to see the game's development, putting the game in waiting list.
For the game's Li, how many are we expecting? Will there only be 4 like in current update or there will be more in the future? Only female or male survivor will join(hiddene ntr?) the team later? Is anya only being in the dream like a npc or she is actually one of the Li and will appear in the story later?
For the theme tag I don't find in the thread, is the one "we need to choose only 1 in the end" type or we can have a harem by having all Lis in the end? What is the forbidden love in the overview talking about? Are we expecting incest in the story? Will there be pregnancy in the future story?

The setup is classic: you build a romance with one girl and look forward to a happy ending on a deserted island
Kinks: everything listed in the tags, plus footjob and anal. Maybe something extra in bonus
Anya plays an important role in the MC’s backstory. You’ll mostly see her in flashbacks and a few other places
. The main theme of the game is
“home” - specifically, the idea of losing one. The conflict between the characters will explore that theme from the MC’s perspective.
